Need help with dehu

I spent 50 on a dehu hoping to bring my RH down and my RH is STILL sitting at 70% around the canopy.

Its been a week and my rh has went from 80% to 70%

My rh is 60% at floor level. 70% at canopy and 75% at the top of the tent. I have my exhaust turned my my intakes turned down. My bedroom is not very humid so it IS the tent. Also a combination of it being winter time here.
BUT I am going to have to upgrade. I just flipped and this high humidity is fucking with my plants. I have to get it down before they start budding and my autos have 3 wk left so I HAVE TO GET IT DOWN NOW

Can ANYONE please. Recommend a DEHU for around 100 via Amazon maybe? That WORKS.

Thanks djents

How big is your tent and is your exhaust fan big enough because if your room is dry it should be bringing the RH in the tent down if it's exchanging enough air. A few weeks back I picked up a 20 pint Arctic King at walmart for $75 it was marked down.

I'd turn the extraction down, and intake up... wait for changes.. (Because ambient rh is lower)
then turn up both if that didn't help.

All else fails. I would leave the tent open with a fan blowing in.
You can still grow and not get mold or PM in those conditions, but air flow gotta be stronger than usual.

Fuck thats lucky man

Sorry about that. I am running a 4x4. I have two intakes (203cfm inlines on ice buckets) one blowing up top one below.
I have a 4" CF and 203 CFM inline for my exhaust as well.
My temps stay around 78⁰F and I heard DEHU run better at higher temps.

I just did a HUGE defo 3d ago and again last night hoping to help bring RH down.

I also have 3 8" fans at bottom and 3 6" at the top.

And im running 4 photos and 2 autos. Just hit wk 10 from sprout.

Well airflow is UP lol 6 fans inside the tent. 2 intakes. 1 exhaust. If anything air circulation is AMAZING. I think I just need a bigger dehu. I just don't want to spend over 100 just to use the dehu during winter lol

It's crazy how your fans aren't getting the RH down. :o
Have you tried adding a second & third hygrometer into the tent to see in hopes that the original you take readings from may be flawed?
I have a wireless inkbird hygrometer coming in today. Going to add it to the tent, but leave the other one in there. Just to test that.
I have 2 probes monitoring the heat, but just 1 on the rh.

You say the rh is 15% lower on the floor? Is that with the dehu on the floor?
If so.. prop it up so it sit's at canopy level.. maybe a tad lower. Let it run & watch the meter every couple of hours.
Hopefully it's that dumb of a solution lol It will save ya 100 bux.

I have 6 hygrometers throughout the tent. Lol

Also because I'm on 12/12 I am watering at lights on and again a few hours before lights off. And my RH drops about 5% or so when lights do come on.

I believe another reason im having this issue is because I USED to run around 800W and that was 5 lights total. So my RH was 55% all the time. No that I upgraded my light to the G8LED C2 its passively cooled etc and man it does NOT put off as much heat as the previous light setup.

I am just trying to find a better dehu. This one I just bought does like ¼ a cup a day.

But then again my rh should drop after the stretch. Because I'm about to stretch my canopy is THICK and I cant defo too much. I dont want to herm them or stunt them.

Adding heat at night can keep rh from spiking on you.
You are running LED, so why not add a few more deg to the tent? go up to 80-81F.
Higher temps can hold more moisture in the air, bringing your rh down.

Budget yourself $150 and get a decent dehuey at your local store. If it doesn't fix your issue, return it.
Smart. I will try walmart.
