Need help with first grow tent setup. Having venting and heat issues

Hello all,
Just recently set up my new dr80 grow tent which is 2.8x2.8x5.10 and have it in my bedroom. I have a 400w hps with a glass protected hood which is air cooled by a 265ish cfm exhaust blower. I also have a 188 cfm intake blower and I just stuck a small $20 fan in there for further circulation. However, my daytime temperature gets up to 95 degrees and stays there. I really don't want to have to buy a portable a/c unit because I don't feel like I need it with the ventilation that I have. But I'm a noob at this and don't really know what else to do. Any suggestions?

where are you venting to &where are you getting fresh air from? if you are blowing heat into the bedroom & drawing your fresh air from the bedroom,my guess is the bedroom also hits 90.Draw your fresh air from outside or another room.cool air from the basement for example

The 265 cfm fan is pulling air through a diy carbon filter then pushing the air across the light then up out the top of the tent. The warm air is venting into my room but I have the temp in my house around 70f so I think the intake air is cold enough. The 265 cfm blower inside my tent does put off quite a bit of heat but If I want to put it outside the tent I'd have to put holes in the top of my tent.

My blower is cool to the touch. The blower may be struggling to pull through the carbon filter and losing CFMs in the process.

Do you leave your tent closed at all times? Leaving it open while the light is on will help cool temps by 4-5 degrees and maybe more. Just make sure that it is closed at night. The smell won't really leave the tent if you leave it open unless flowering.

Here is how mine is setup. Keep the air from the tent and light out of the room and exhaust it to the attic or another room. I find it is best to draw air from outside of the tent through the light and back out of the tent. Then create a seperate exhaust for the tent itself. This way you are cycling fresh air from the ac controlled room and not using the recirculated hot tent air. If you really worried about smell then use a carbon filter for the tent exhaust and not the light. Once I stopped using recirculated hot air I was able to maintain temps of about 78-82.

It doesn't matter what your house is set to that room will heat up real quick the key to keeping heat down is venting the air outside.
