need help with lighting

hi everyone,
first time planting.my lady is 2ft tall.nice buds-i want to bring her in and continue growing her.i don;t under stand the terminogoly-doe's flowering mean buds or leaves. i want to get her to fill in more and get stems with buds. i only have one long stem with leaves and nice big bud at the top-also really confused with the lighting . what do i use at this point,foros,mh,hps-or what.thanks for any advise-enjoy!

use hps for flowering,your plants alread flowering so put it under a light and your branches should get some bud on her

Veg period= Grow Period. Leaf and stalk production.
Flower Period= Bud Production, Leaf and stalk production slow and energy turns to producing flowers (buds).

as for lighting, you have a options based on what you can afford financially.
HPS and MH are expensive. Both to run and for the equipment.
Hps is good for flower period (People also use for "veg Period".
MH is good for Veg period.
CFL is ok for growing there are a few types with different outputs. There are a lot of CFL growers. These use lower power but you need more bulbs.
Floros, a good floros can grow too, low power, and like cfl can be placed really really close.

From your post, sounds like you are moving indoors due to weather. If your plant has Flowers on it now. You may want to continue the flowering process.
To flower, or continue flowering provide 12 hrs Daylight MAX. Do not disturb 12 Hour night period.

If you are going with a HID light you could see prices in the $200 range. Heat will be an issue.
I am sure a Floros of CFL master will be chiming in here soon. They can provide more info on the FLoros and CFL as I use HID (MH+HPS).
