Need help with my plants!

Hi Guys,

I’m new to here so please bear with me and if I miss anything out I can update the thread...

I have been growing a few girls recently...A Tropicana banana, shining lemon silver haze, gorilla skittlez and a peyotecookies.

All are indoor in my tent and using a 900w Kingbo LED.

they are planted in Westland seedling and cutting soil and are roughly 9 weeks into Veg.

I wait for the soil to dry out completely before feeding and alternate between Scottish tap water (correct PH level) and feed (2ml/litre of biogrow, carborate (advances nutrients) and voodoo root juice.

the girls have been trained using mainlining.

attached are some pictures. I am struggling as the stems are looking purple and the leaf structure are a little obscure. Most the leaves on the lemon haze and peyote are a little folded upwards...doesn’t look like curling though just quite literally as if they are folded Can someone help with a diagnosis????

Canoed leaves are usually a sign of heat stress but the plants look pretty healthy otherwise. Purple stems can be completely normal with some strains so I wouldn't be concerned unless you start seeing other issues.

When my stems start turning any shade of purple a little bone meal cleans that up.

Edit
wow that whole thing is purple. I’m going to leave this one for experts.

Slight heat stress,or wind burn .But only you will know what one it is ,but other than that they look great

Tree farmer Charlie is in the right track with magnesium.
Canoe-ing if leaves can be pH or VPD, vapor pressure deficit.
VPD is temp, RH and soil moisture dependent.
An acidic soil wont dry out very quickly and can cause nutrient issues.
Magnesium is important in electrolytes balance and transport and monment thru the plant, so no Phos or K+ in optimal uptake.
Give it some dolomite lime is my advice.

I feel it may be heat stress. Living in Scotland the temperatures fluctuate a hell of a lot so I put in a lighthouse eco heat 135w lamp and took the tent out of the loft and put into my spare room. So she’s went from cold temps to ultra tropical. I think the question I really want to ask people is do you think this is curable? And do you think they can still provide a decent yield? Do you think the canoeing of the leaves is serious?

should I flush her prior to giving her dolomite lime?

Can using higher ph water to offset the acidic soil also work?

Red/purple stems is often caused by colder temperatures. You never stated what temp/humidity you're running in.

There's nothing wrong with your plant.
The purple is normal for some Strains, nothing to be worried about.
Forget the lime, just make sure your feed water is around 6.3
Don't waste your time flushing, it's useless.
Next time don't waste you time Mainlining, it takes too long to accomplish anything.
It looks cool, but that's about it in my book.
Also start to bloom now.
Good luck :)

dont ever waste time flushing....it is useless. Lime is never a bad idea ...... lime will never hurt anything and its hard to overdo. Those girls are beautiful , they are just slightly overfed. not much at all ..... you may not even adjust them as they are still growing. pay more attention to the girls themselves instead of a certain feeding schedule. The purple stems is nothing at all to look at, let a lone worry about. IF your soil is acidic then add d-lime. Dont trust a meter to tell you what the ph is though. Thats a rollitup myth they just cant get over.

Your plants are short on Mg. I don't know your strains, but I'm sure if you've done your homework, you know which plants should have purple stems because of their genetics and which shouldn't. Purple stems, when they aren't a result of genetics, are not a good thing...it means something, and that something isn't good. The twisted / contorted leaf tips would lead me to believe there's a pH issue as well. You don't mention much about pH, so I recommend looking further into it. If there is indeed a pH issue, it may be why some of your plants have purple stems (aka Mg shortage as a result of poor pH), so make sure of your pH before you do too much. The plants aren't too far off, so don't sweat it...but for sure don't let things linger. Good luck.
