I am growing in Magic Plant soil, And i want to use all of this nutrients as i been searching and i made myself this set and would be pretty keen to use it just need some recommendation and tips what should i use during veg and then what when i switch to bloom maybe add something to the set and if i don't need to i wouldn't like to kick anything out from the set as i believe all this helping and working good somehow

Hey man, I respect your choice if you want to give AN a run. It's best to see everything for yourself because that's what life and experience is about, and since you've already bought the bottles, might as well make the best out of it. I promise you won't be disappointed.. especially once you realize how easy it is to use, and how little you need..

If anyone here says AN does NOT work, or it's 'crap' compared to anything they've EVER used, they're either lying, being lied to, or never even gave AN line a chance because they'd rather save the money and do a little more work..

It's true, you can use Jacks, Blue Planet, General Hydroponics, or anything else the markets sells with AMAZING results, but you still got to buy the PH tester, meters, etc.. to adjust the PH and take readings/measurements. Not to mention you HAVE to dial in your nutrients as well as your environment. There's no way around this. I've yet to use a product out there that doesn't work. Anything I've ever added to plain tap water has been better than just plain tap water :P

Well let me start my saying, AN PH perfect line is EXTREMELY UNDER RATED. Being in the PH zone is KEY to the whole grow, and if the nutes can do that FOR you, it's a big deal. I don't care what they put in it like yourself, I just know it WORKS very WELL and EASY, which is what I paid for.. CONVENIENCE. I'd love to sit down and read/research for a couple months to learn how to mix my own salts, know EXACTLY what and how much of each element my cannabis plant needs at which stage in life, and do a plant analysis here and there and get the 'full growers experience'. But to be quite frank and honest, I have zero intentions of getting to that level of a Grow Guru. I just want to grow some nice healthy BIG FROSTY plants with relative ease, and I'll be very grateful. Advanced Nutrients wants my money? No problem. They did the work, calculations and advertisement. It did what they said it would, and my harvests have never been better. It's true, if I improve my gardening skills, I'd get a better crop with less money. But that's a huge investment in time/effort to learn how to do it. It takes years to become a SUCCESSFUL GARDENER. And it's not easy. AN made it easy for me, so I invest my money in that instead. I don't have time or patience to go on forums and get talked down to by better growers who have years of experience on me..

Alright, onto the tips/advice that you were here for: My advice to you is to wait till you get 3-4 sets of leaves before you start feeding any nutrients. And when you feed, start at 1/4 strength, and work your way up week by week. New growers OVERFEED and OVERWATER. Once you feel out how much your plants drink and eat, go from there.

He's growing in soil which means there is no need to pH-adjust anything.

Is that how you interpreted what I said? I said he's growing in soil, there is no need to pH-adjust anything which means a 'pH perfect' product is completely unnecessary.

True but I personally make a couple gallons of mix when I'm doing soil and store it so I do not have to make more all the time for watering an just seems more stable the ph does not move even after a couple days but I am using RO+DI water

I stopped pH-ing my inputs for my promix mix about a year ago and the plants are as healthy as ever. 'Dirt' mediums have plenty of buffering power on their own. Where folks fudge things up is with salt buildup from overfeeding. That will surely affect the medium's pH but even that can be corrected with a proper watering technique.

Was wondering if you could confirm any of this..

Lets say I'm going into my 4th and 5th week of flowering and I overfed which caused salt buildup giving me a lockout.. Can I just flush with straight tap water and assume it'll be the same thing as flushing with 5.8PH'ed water because promix is PH buffered?

Tap water being 7.7PH 'ish with 70-115PPM.

Cannabis doesn't like wet-dry cycles. It much prefers wet-damp cycles. A proper watering technique just means one is watering often enough to keep the roots and leaves healthy. The other side of the coin is the amount of food going into the medium. If you have to water every day then the EC of the feedings should be less than the guy who waters every other day. Even if the EC is spot on, watering until runoff is a good way to avoid salt buildup. If salt buildup occurs, that can be corrected by a leaching of the medium. But if one is overfeeding to that extent, they have a lot left to understand about plant nutrition and what it takes to keep a plant healthy.

On top of that, certain NPK ratios may require the grower to feed at a higher EC for healthy growth which of course increases the likelihood of issues in the medium (say 1-2-3 vs 2-1-3). Finding that ideal NPK balance means you can avoid a lot of issues associated with overfeeding.

I suppose? Water is very effective at leaching salts but salt buildup to the extent where one is locking out other elements means the grower was overfeeding from day 1. These plants don't need a lot of food for explosive growth and yields that snap branches.

I'm really comparing advanced at the moment but I'm up for open competition comparing nutrients
There is not a lot of people who do hands on videos showing people that there is nutes out there that aren't watered down. I think it's sad they would give you less than half strength nutes and charge those high prices

5ml/gal = 1.8ECish

Same with their maxi series. The grow is just a tad bit stronger than the bloom.

But the FN is around 3X's the price of most other base nutes by volume that take you 15ml/gal to get to 1.8EC. Lol. So a wash in the end:-( except for less bottles.

I use mostly maxi in my setups.

Advanced provides feeding schedules for all types hydro or soil. I would advise starting out at .25 or .50 strength when mixing. Let the plants get used to the nutrients but even then i would never go full strength all the way, but thats my opinion. Feed, feed, water and so on if your in soil, and again this is my opinion. Theres a million ways to do anything when it comes to growing, its just picking what you like and what works for you

Agree with budman, you really dont need all of those. Really all you need is the Sensi A&B's for veg and bloom thats your base nutes, then choose 1 or 2 bloom enhancers at the end like bud candy or whatever you want but the sensis a & b is all it really takes everything else is additives

I fell for the sensi bloom when it first came into the market all those years ago and within 8 weeks there were green fungi globules floating about the clear B bottle, good luck with the promised refund from AN.
