need help with plants im new

i am a new grower and i am starting to grow cheese ( dont know what type of cheese ) it's been 4 weeks, i have 3 plants.

ive had the plants under a 400 watt. HPS light, i have them under the light for 12-12 hours for the last 4 weeks, some of my plants have turned into 9 to 11 leaves and their 10 inches long now and i have 50 cm between the plant and the light...

can anyone help me ASAP i need to know if the the number of leaves are abnormal or their okay, and if my lighting periods are okay and is 50 inches right? i also would like to know if the light periods are wrong is it fine to change times now? or is that not possible? sorry for the trouble and thanks for any help and suggestions

are u tryin to flower? 12/12 is wen u want ur plants to start flowering. 50inches is way to far for the light to b set above the plants. and 9-11 fingered leaves are normal

its only been 4 weeks their only 10 inches? i wnt to start flowering them if its possible at this stage im not sure and can u tell me how many hours it shud be under the light and how far away it should be from the plant

you flower with 12/12 lighting. put your hand palm up on top of the plant and move the light untill it doesn;t burn your hand. about 18" I think. It's been awhile since I used the 400 without the cooltube.

Your correct stumps 18" from plant is safe , 12" advise a fan blowing between light and plant tops

yeah its growing, im going to put it to 18" but hiw long should the lighting period be?

if u want to keep vegging use 20/4 or 18/6 or 24/0. 12/12 is only wen u want it to start flowering

hi tanks 4 the advice .wat u think abaut rain watter.&abaut my phlants i start with 12/12 for 3weeks then 18/6 .for last few days & they ok & look beutefull & start to smealing...fred
