Need help with PWM dimming from any HLG lighting experts.

I built a nice new grow light so I want to do you something nicer than a potentiometer to dim it. I bought this module on Amazon and if you look at the fifth picture down it shows the connections:

I also purchased a 10 V AC adapter to use as the power supply for it. When I hook up the power supply to the input side the module turns on and seems to function fine however, when I hook the output side up to the dimming wires of my HLG 320 C 1400 nothing happens. I’m not that familiar with how HLG handles PWM dimming so I’m stuck using my potentiometer for right now. What am I doing wrong am I missing a resistor or something?

Things I’ve tried are both polarities on the output side, in other words swapping the two wires around. My particular PWM module has a PWM mode as well as a duty cycle mode which seems stupid because duty cycle and PWM are exactly the same thing on this module. I’ve also tried setting the frequency to various different frequencies that I found on the net and some A. HLG documentation. Nothing is making any difference as far as the brightness of the lights.

Hello.
This setup shows:
MOSFET IRF520+1kΩ resistor

The cable from the right is the PWM-cable from the driver (HLG)
The VCC cable (green) is NOT needed as the driver delivers 10v via PWM-cable (blue)
SIG (yellow) and GND (blue) are connected to a PCA9685 (HAT) / RPi0W
For more information you can check out 'PiGro' on github.com:

I am the programmer of 'PiGro' (if you have more questions on that).

Maybe that helps.
