well. . . first of all, you don't have to follow any recipe, but it does help. Fat is an oil. The THC is in the ganja is an oil. THC is only slightly psychoactive(as far as I know, never tried or tested this statement) - immediately in the plant. Like if you picked it off the plant and ate it. I think you could get high, but it would be very weak as to a standard. I could be wrong. I think it helps even more if you dry and cure it.
When the THC is cooked too much it kills psychoactivity. Which is difficult if you think about it, because we literally flame it in joints and such. But THC must be heated to certain degrees to get maximum psychoactive, I don't recall this temp - check elsewheres.
So basically, technically, you could theoretically just put a pure marijuana bud into the stove, and heat it until it is psychoactive. then ingest it any way, smoke it, eat it, inject it, or shove it.
come to think of it. . .. isn't that what happens when you VAPORIZE? Aren't some vaporizers like a tiny stove with a tube? it just heats the oils off the plant, and leaving the plant matter behind. One doesn't need a magical concoction. just keep within the margins of heat, and cook with the THC glands/oils/whatever. you can keep the plant matter with it, and bake it right in, or you can filter out the plant matter by making cannabutter.
