:wall:Ok, Im new so here it goes. I have 20 ICE and 20 Hawaii Maui waui clones in 2.5 and 3gal. pots that are LOCKED OUT !! My girls in veg. are suffering also!! I had to recently start useing my tap water that is FULL of diff. SHIT alot being rust. I have just put filters in to try to help, but I belive this is why the lock out allways happens. I use the Fox Farms line up (all six) and water 1gal. each time but they stay real wet for 7-8 days! I have Clearex but Im not sure what is the best thing to do right now? I really need to do it NOW! I allways have thought they are way to wet to feed but 8 days and still wet? I know its alot but PLEASE HELP!!

Sounds easy enough but the thing is the clearex says to use .5 ts. per 1gal. and achive 10-20% run off, then add fert. at half strength. As I said it takes at least 7-8 days and their still pretty moist. I dont want to drown them! I tried using .5gal. at feed time and they dry better but thats not enough is it ? There is so much mixed info on flushing, PLEASE ! ANYONE!??

the only way to fix a lock out is to flush them with fresh water at 6.0 ph for 1 day or two depending on how bad it is and two mix up a new bacth of nutes for them once they are flushed and throw away that clearx crap they took it off the market cuz there were problems with it i use to use that stuff in my aeroponic clone system and it fucked my shit up also check your ppm and ph to make sure they are all in key range

8 days is fine, let them fully dry before watering. Mine take roughly the same amount of time. My water is really hard as well, but I haven't had any problems. What king of water filter did you get?

How much water do I use to flush? Then feed 1gal. of nutes.,they will be really wet! Is that ok? I use pro-mix bx right out of the bag, should I be adding some perlite to help with drainage? Thank You guys so much!! This site kicks ass!

At one time I had a batch of plants that just wouldn't seem to ever really dry out, which really bugged me. I figured, among other things, it meant the plants weren't using the water very efficiently, if at all (lock-out?)
This was during early flowering, under 600W hps, so the heat alone should've taken some water, and I'm guessing it was, just not much (wet roots)

I ended up using a bar-b-que skewer(s) to aerate, loosen, tenderize, etc . . . the soil, by sticking it down thru the soil multiple times all around the planter. Don't force it through any thicker roots you might encounter.
Allowed my 2 gallon pots to dry in 4 daze instead of 2 weeks, which has to be better for the overall health of the plant.
