I don't think that is the stalk. Looks like a stake of some kind that is supporting the plant.See how the stalk on your plant Is purple in color? Your def needing some magnesium. Magnesium helps support healthy veins and maintains leaf production and structure. It's required for chlorophyll production and enzyme break downs. The deficiency starts in the lower leaves. The veins remain green while the rest of the leaf turns yellow, exhibiting chlorosis. The leaves eventually curl up and then die. The edges of the leaf feel crispy, dry you can call it. As the deficiency continues it moves from the lower leaves to the middle and the top of the plant. Eventually the growing shoots change from a pale green to white color. The deficiency is quite apparent in the upper leaves. At the same time the stems and petioles turn purple.
it's a bamboo stake but the stem is purple. should i just buy some cal/mag from the hydro store or will this epsom salt work just as good?don't wanna lose this plantI don't think that is the stalk. Looks like a stake of some kind that is supporting the plant.
