Hey everyone,so my plants are 16 days old,and their leaves are turning yellow! :( i havent used any nutrients because this is my first grow and i dont know what should i use,i know you all will say i should buy foxfarm or whatever fancy nutrients, where i live you cant get it in shops, and if i order it on the internet im afraid it will be to late while i get them :( heres a picture of my plant...
the bottom 2 leaves are realy yellow already, what should i do? can i just buy and use the nutrients that you give tomatos or something? or maybe you think its not because of lack of nutrients? i realy dont want my plants to die,so please give me any ideas :(

Just think about it. You use this soil for 16 days, this pot might be 0,5 liter. Every watering is pushing out the nutrients from the soil. So the conclusion is: There is no more nitrogen in your soil, or not enough. That's why your leaf is yellowing.

You need NPK nutrients , where the N is the dominant. Like 3-1-1(NPK). You should give her 1/5 dose.

I dont know if this is the "right way to do it but i had great success with it so far on everything from tomatos to ficus trees..oh and ganj. When i pot up for seeds i moisten my dirt in a bowl. Then its not soaked to start with and i can control the moisture levels better. Then i usually water with a small syringe twice a day untill its maybe four inches and then ill start watering. Just remember, its only an inch tall, how much can it really drink lol

If worse comes to worse you could transplant it into a larger container 3-5-10 gallons depending on what you'd like your plant to be size wise. Your best to keep things kiss simple during this process. Make sure there's plenty of drainage in the bottom of the bucket you plant into. If you dont have the following on her i would immediatley a small fan on the plants constantly to strengthen the stalk. The minute this shit gets to serious its stops becoming fun, which noone needs. If your wanting to give your seedlings some love try a mild organic tea, If you have any questions about that let me know ill help you if i can!

You seem like a nice guy bro, its just too damn bad that you didnt do any reading on growing BEFORE you put those beans in the ground. While your letting that plant dry out start cruising threads onRIU all your questions will be answered.

If you just read instead of post then you wont have to listen to this guy say that theres no more N in the soil after 16 days lol and then get heat because hes pissed im right :)

Npk the number equating to the nutrients found in fertilizer for example mexican bat guano has an npk number of 10-1-1, this means it has 10 nitrogen,1 potassium, 1 phosphurus. hopefully this helps. The leaves your worring about need to go anyway my man!

For now just feed it somthing with a high N value, its the first one listed. You dont need a high concentration at all, maybe 250 ppm for now. The leaves you are worried about are the cody leaves or the cotyledon. They are the first to emerge from the seed and contain seed jam power. They will eventually usually turn yellow and fall of anyway. Your plant looks fine man, the new leaves arent yellowing yet so dont worry. It does look like your dirt has zero perlite in it. When you replant do yourself a favor and get a six dollar bag of perlite at home depot. You may just have bad drainage.

Wow ! I cant believe that this has got to page 2 and no one has pointed out that those are the cotyledon leaves and they are supposed to turn yellow and die off. What are you guys talking about NPK for? Its a seedling ! It has enough food and energy stored up for at least 10 days on its own. And if there are any ferts in the soil he should be fine for another week or 2 without and needed feeding. After that point yes you will need to feed. I recommend the bio bizz starter pack. Grows great dank and is very easy on the plants as it is 100% organic. You can get a kit online for around $100usd. Your plant looks great bro. A little overwatered. Let the soil dry out a bit between waterings. When its dry.. Pick it up and feel how light the pot is.. Then thoroughly water it. Dont drown the thing. But make sure the entire container of soil is moistened by the water. then feel the weight of the pot when its watered . this will give you an idea of when to water just by picking them up. Over and under watering can also lead to def's so keep that in mind as well.

Hope that helps a bit bro..
well the plants are 16 days old,and the soil i used is just some regular potting soil for indoor plants...
il check out that kit, thank you very much! :)
