If you are going with those lights you should really scrog ...keep that canopy even n lights very close...it is no harder than what ya doing now..even easier with a screen to tie to.

ok i looked a lil last night about scrog what type of screen do i need most look home made.....then one thing i dont get is do u just pull up the screen as it grows?

and any info on nuts would be helpfull ive been using something with ratings of 10-15-10 and a brother gave me vf-11 witch i havent used at all i recently checked my npk lvls and there fine.

yeah planed on it wanting to try some dehumidifying around the last few weeks of flowering.....some just told me to leave it in the 5gallon and let it go a foot more then flower saying that it will only rootbound to a point.....iam sticking with the orig plan and moving up size and flowering

k thank you...how important are the roots....should one acuaualy just chop off the roots that come out the bottom of ur pot..thats what two ppl told me so far this week....and its just asanine to go to anything bigger?

leave the roots alone...

your not going to get root bound in a 5 gallon bucket with that plant... Flower it within the next week or two and your good... seseing some roots come out the bottom is normal... although most people will start out in a smaller pot and move it to bigger ones to keep roots from shooting straight down to quick...

I'd be more worried that the pot won't dry out decent with that big of a pot and small plant... I usually recommend fixing environment variables to make the pot be somewhat dry in 3-4 days... lots of ways to adjust that, bigger pot, smaller pot, big pot with more perlite, etc.... but you'll only know that once you start flowering...

it was orig in a smaller pot but it started showing sighns of root boundness and i transplanted it and it was def rootbound....ad i was hoping to traine it another foot wide and tall

That Guy is full of shit, he looked at the pic n posted without reading thread...I just transplant a Jack the ripper n a cindy99. To 7 gallon pots that were root bound in 5 gallon pots...neither plant was 20. inches. Tall...been topped n tied like yours......

i honestly feel good about how i have it going besides the light and i wish i knew what i was growing but ive been too 2 med growers and theirs are sticks.....one got one in buding and its kinda odd looking lol....i have a lot of pride in what ive done so fare and thank u cronos for the tips:weed: i might have to name one after u jk lol

I did read the thread.. and viewed the pictures...

I have some MATH, I use for calculating pot size...

1 gallon per foot + 1/2 gallon per week of veg... so far I haven't seen anything root bound using that formula...

"for the op"... I'd make sure to clean up the bottom/inside of that plant as well, that way it's nice... it will help prevent bugs, powdery mildew and such...

Here's a pic of some Og Kush I'm working on ... just finishing week 6... nice and yummy...
