need help!

Hey guys,

I am pretty new to growing. I only have 4 soil grows under my belt, but I really screwed up this time.

I went from solo cup to a 3 and 5 gal, and over watered!
I noticed that my 5 gal bag stayed heavy. The 3 gallon pot, not as bad. The plants looked good aside from slowed growth. Ive been lsting
them too. My first lst.

So, long story short, I dug out the NL from the grow bag and it was soaked. Some brown roots but no bad smell. And it was small for vegging for 5 weeks. The bottom of the grow bag was packed mud.

So I took the plant out, knocked off all of the soaked soil, and transplanted it into a 3 gal hard pot.
I dug up my bubba kush in the3 gal fearing the worst.
It had a better root system than the NL, but I knocked off all of the wet soil, and transplanted it back into a 3 gal hard pot anyway.

Now what? Where do I go from here?
Can someone please help me out!!!!

What's your soil base. You have enough aeration? Here's a tip. When you transplant. First try solo to 2 qt than 3 or 5 gallon. Don't forget the glad gallon transplant cause it helps big time. 2nd moisten soil lightly with Ewc tea or just water prior to transplanting an skip watering until 5-6 days after transplant depending on pot size.

So with you plants now ou basically shook off wet soil an trans into a better moisture level? Did you remove rotting roots? Also do you use mycos on transplant?

You should avoid digging up your plants as much as possible. Sounds like your soil mix may need more aeration.
You can up pot to large containers but you have to only water with a small amount. I can go from solo cups to final containers with no issues at all. You just have to remember that you're watering based on plant size, not planter size.

You should be fine. Make sure to circulate the air in grow area. You could add a teaspoon of the store Peroxide to a quart of water, will help get O2 to the roots.

Hey guys,
Many thanks for you guys help! I appreciate your will to help me be successful. I really need this medicine for my wife.

Ok. Greenmachinetwo9er,
My soil isnt the best.
I had nutrients already so I went cheap on my soil. Big mistake!
I wanted Potters gold, but ended up being able to afford one 12 qt bag of Happy Frog, and about 60 percent plain, non enriched super light top soil. No sticks and rocks, with good drainage excet in my grow bag. I put an inch layer of perlite lining the pot bottoms, and added about 50 % perlite to the whole mix. I also added 4 pounds of some very good EWC.

I carefully dug up the root balls of the two in 3 gal pots and removed all of the soggy soil that the roots were tied up in. The roote ended up being about a foot long after I untangled them.
I took the dry soil and carefully repotted into the 3 gal, I did remove some of the brown roots. Gave a cup of water at the stalk, and a cup of water in about a 6 inch ring around the stalk. Im going pick up a bottle of Super Thrive tomarrow. I think this will help, although I've never used it before. Any tips on that would be appreciated as well.

Hey there MidwestWeedist,
I've been getting good run off in my hard pots. I have super powerful exhaust and intake fans for my room size, although its hot around here right now, so temps today were at 82 degrees. That as low as I could get it. Normally its 78.
I have a fan blowing above the canopy. Thank you for killer advice. I just made a noob mistake and watered to pot size instead of plant size. Breaks my heart man. I've been busting my ass training these girls.
On a side note, my Afghani #1s in two gal pots are kicking ass! Those arent Fems, their regulars I'll have to sex. Fingers crossed.

Hey Bbens69,

I thought about doing the peroxide thing very hard. Just had a gut instinct to not panic through all of this and kill my plants with throwing everything at them. Thank You for your advice sir, mamm

So to sum up guys, here are my intentions,
Get some super thrive,
Mix a gal, and give about a cup to the Bubba and Northern lights at the stalk, straight down the roots.
Then lightly water from there on out. Is that right?

Also guys,
When can I start feeding nutes again? I have, Big Bloom, Grow big, and cal mag.

Also, how long till I can flower?

Again, thank you guys for taking time out of your lives to help a poor noob out. Love and respect.
If you guys don't mind answering those questions please, I'd be so greatfull! :-)

I'll post some pics.
The two in the two gal black pots are Afghani #1s, the bigger one in a green 3 gal pot is a Nl x BB, and the smaller one in the other 3 gal green pot is the slow poke Bubba Kush. I put a paper clip on the rim of the pots for size reference

Sounds like your learning pretty quick. Your soil mix will be fine. Adding perlite is major improvement. Gets air to roots. Google Peroxide for marijuana plants. I add it about once a month to my big girls, and regularly to my clones. Helps with roots and can also help with spider mites and the like in garden foliar fed. Pics look good. I'm a believer in Stressing them a little, especially when young. Weeds out weak plants and they will get better roots. Congrats ;~}

Thank you BbBens 69.
like I had said, I poured a measured cup of water at the stalk fortransplant yesterday. The rest of the soil is dry, but still wet at the stalk. If I add a cup of super thrive today, would that be over watering, or nothing but benefit?

Ty for taking time out of your life forllittle ol me.

Hydrogen Perixide! Don't be afraid! Everything I do is 100% organic and h2o2 is found naturally in rain and snow! This will fluff your soil up quickly and as it degrade organic matter it releases a ton of oxygen near the roots!!! I believe it contains 7x more oxygen molecules then air!
I've read people using it at strengths of 8% with no dilution...no worries on killing roots as it only degrades dead organic matter but will kill beneficial bacteria along with harmful bacteria...

Whoever said 5ml per quart is right, this is exactly what I use!

poor guy, I feel for ya.
My advice will be for next time, the number one thing is to make sure you have a good soil recipe, with lots of aeration.
plus I think you are overdoing things a lil, which is something we ALL did when we started, important to remember that plants will practically grow themselves, when you are new to it, more often than not, the best course of action is to leave them alone.
Don't waste your time on superthrive.
I don't personally mess with H2O2 anymore, it won't help a poor soil, nothing will.
Sorta like worrying about what kind of diet you have when you are living in a desert... got bigger things to worry about.
Do NOT water them any further, until you are sure it needs it.
Don't beat yourself up, you are doing what we all did, and that is simply too much.
Let the plant grow man.

they look alright to me, the thing i'd do is give them some more room to grow, those containers are small.
in soil and organics you need a bit more room for the media
