Need help

Yo can anyone tell me better about this trichomes stuff confusing mine look a little milky under regular magnify glass but I can't see tips really just not strong enough how long once turn slightly milky before I have to worry of amber my plants still growing but they def not all completely clear i see don't want to go to far but I really don't want it early

Each plant from seed ripens at a slightly different amount time and it also depends upon growing conditions. Clones are more predictable. You really do need a handheld microscope to see the color of the trichome heads. It's kinda tricky at first to get it in focus without steady hands. You can always pluck off a sugar leaf and place it on a table for steady-ness to get a good general idea of how ripe your buds are. Milky trichomes tells you it's getting close. I prefer a low percentage of amber heads myself but if you pick when they are milky the weed still will smoke just fine. Potency and flavors are increased in the final weeks so patience is rewarded here. Either way it's a matter of preference. Usually I harvest out of necessity; I always want to let them go longer but I'd also rather not go without. This is what I use:

Very close. The tops look a bit further along than the bottom half but your pic is a bit blurry. Maybe just another week maybe 2 for peak potency. Go get a scope to check for sure but it's almost there. Happy Harvest
