I am growing in a hydro system with three plants in a 15 gallon bin. I have used this system many times with great success however this is the first time I have got a male. One of three of the plants is a male and I want to remove it but the roots are so tangled I don't know if I can ever separate them. I have read some posts where people said to just cut the male down leaving his roots in there but they will quickly rot and cause a huge problem. The plants have just entered budding and have at least a month and a half left which I think is too much time to leave those roots in. I am wondering if I should try to separate the roots as much as possible then cut the roots trying to get as much of the male roots out while trying to not cut the female roots? Obviously some male roots will be left and some female roots will be cut. Is that the best option or should I do something else?
