Need info, newbie to the grow

im just starting to gather the supplies, but need to know what is needed for a closet dimensions (48" wide x 28" deep x 8' high w/ shelf at 6' but can be removed. i also have a t-8 2light shop light w/ 2-32w bulbs will this suffice for the closet ? and if not what do i need ? what about ventilation ? i have central a/c, dont really use the room, so can i crakc the closet door a lil for air circulation ? willin to hear any and everything ? want to see i fi got what it takes.......waiting on some albino rhino's...to show just wanna prep everything before hand......do i need to put anything on the walls ? floors ? need some advice........thanks

Planning ahead like you are is the best first step. You are in the right direction so far!. Depending on how big you wanna grow your plant(s) you could mount your light to the shelving so that you could keep it really close to the plant(s). I have seen some pretty good results with the t8's and t5's. As far as vent issues if you can crack open your closet without security issues you can get away with a simple clip fan. Of course more circulation is always good but, with the light you are running I don't think heat will be an issue at all. If you have white paint on the inside the you don't need to worry about reflection as much but you will want to line the floor with some type of water protection.

thanks ......the lights come with a 9ft chain so i can adjust as it grows........what would u suggest for teh floor ? because right now its carpet ? and im not worryied aobut security because the room is used as computer room.....wha woudl you suggest for the germ stage ? i hope i get my seeds soon.....where would u suggest for a start ? as fas as the clip on fan would i put it inside the closet ? thatnks for the info man much appreciated..........looking to learn more.........would i keep this lighting throughout all the stages ?

Well I have seen people especially on this forum get great results with the t8's even t5's but make sure you get the proper spectrum. I like using the t5's for veg growth and clones I then flower under a 600 watt HPS. If you are strapped for cash you could use trash bags to line under the plants. I like to soak my seeds for about 12 hrs in a glass of water. Then I place them in a wet paper towel on a tupperware lid under my humidity dome. Basically as far as complete set up from seed to harvest it all depends on how much you can invest in your equipment.
In total I have Two chambers in a small spare bedroom. My mother / clone room which has a full spectrum lighting and my flower room with the 600hps. With my set up and weather conditions I can keep my HPS about 8" to 10" so I get really dense buds. If you can run your ac to control the heat then you should go with an HPS for flowering. The clip fan should be hung around the top of the plant(s).

ok well i recieved the beans from bcbuddepot.com, and they threw in a few xtra. the first 6 seeds i germinated with the cup of water trick and plante in some regular miracle gro garden soil in 16oz plastic cups, then put under my 2-32w 6500k shoplight, also put some clear wrap over them to keep moisture in. have had hose under 24/0. then the last 8 seeds i germed in papertowel method for 3 days.....bought some bat guano and perlite, mixed in with the garden soil i have then put all seeds under light, do you think i should go to 20/4 or keep at 24/0 ? needsome advise.....out of the 1st 6 i have 3 that are a good 1/2" to an 1" above soil ? any and all advise would help
