Need legal advice please

At now point will i fabricate this story I need Honest help please


i was driving at 3 in the morning with my friend drunk after leaving the bar (im also only 19) on the way home i'm checkin a girl next too me at the stop light and throw her a wink, there her hispanic b/f i'm guessing?? pulled a black gun and pointed it at us. i flipped him off the light turned green and i hauled ass into a parking lot as did he. The lane i was in was the left of the right lane. i almost turned in the (college)as did the other kid, but right as we almost pulled into the s school 2 cop car were sitting in the parking lot of course me and my friend were drunk and tried to proceed down the road in the wrong lane for less than a block (the white blazer with the hispanic and girl also did same) the cops immediately pulled oly me over and yelled to put my hands on my head after i proceeded out of my car.when out i was walked backwards to their cars and patted down. after me tellig them what went on they told me i was lieing and asked if i had guns alcohol or drugs in the car... i reppetedly shouted i give no consent for any type of search they told me i had no choice on the count of wreckless driving. (later when asked officer replied he only searched open areas and no cavities but he happen to also come back and have my registration which was in my glove box?) he came back after finding nothing and let me know i was under arrest for wreckless driving and that i smelt like alcohol and he was going to take me i for a dui also i tolf him i was sober and he performed a field sobriety test which i easily passed and my friend also did. they cuffed me and handed me my my marandas rights and had me read them to myself. the officers took me to the cop shop and the officer tried to tell me he would let me of with an m.i.p instead of a dui if i just admited it i told him i was sober an the only thing i had to dring was too lids full of nyquil (10% alcohol) because i had a caugh he told me he didn't be lieve me and i had too blow... i blew .0135 and thought i was good on the alcohol. then i was taken in to be searched and wait when i got into the room i was put head first on some wall with my feet spread after he searched me he pulled out a little baggie of nothing that did't even have kiefe in it they pulled it out smelled it and wrote me a posession ticket and on that ticket was also a alcohol consumption!!!!!! in my state minor is .20 and riving .18 ??? i believe eve if my numbers are wrong my blow percent was still lower than my state laws... i was booked under wreckless driving and given a ticket for the other two please if anyone has advise i need help asap!!!!!!

should i seek a lawyer or can a free defense rep me???? college student with low funds???? thak you so much

oh also as for my other friend that really was hammered they let him drive my truck home after asking me permission.

My advise is dont drive drunk and if your out at that time of the night figure you'll get pulled over.Cops think anyone driving at that hr are either party'in or stealin,either way they'll check ya out to see.

Dude, it's your word against a cops. Even if you do fight it, the judge/jury is going to believe a cop over your word. It sucks, but it's just the way it is. And you got to admit, the story seems a little fishy. If someone pulled a gun on me, I wouldn't flip them off and drive casually into a parking lot. I would haul ass in any direction I could to get away. And admittedly, you were at a bar drunk. That's a damn-dable offense in my book. Cops don't really buy the Nyquil story for someone who's awake and driving at 3 o'clock in the morning. So man, my advice is to pay your ticket on time, don't get your license suspended. Don't drive home from the bar with your buddies (get a cab or DD), don't wink at girls that have guys riding with them, don't keep empty sandwich baggies in your pocket and dont EVER EVER EVER drink and drive. especially if you're a minor. That's an expensive mistake you don't have to make. You should feel lucky it wasn't worse. So yeah, they got you, just pay the fine and learn from your mistake.

It could end up in probation but look into something called "Pre-trial intervention" Google it and see if it applies to you and your state...it also might depend on if there's any priors and shit like that. But yeah, if you're trying to get a job in the CIA/FBI or the post office, they might care, but most other places don't give a shit about non-violent crimes...wait, unless your applying for a Driving position or something like that

In the state of Virginia its called a 251 disposition. Complete the Community Service, or the A.S.A.P (its an alcohol program) do that and all charges are dropped.

At 19 years of age, me and my best friend got into trouble. Same charges, etc.
He got a lawyer and I decided to plead no contest with me, myself, and I representing me.
He basically got off with 100% suspended jail time, $500 fine, didn't lose drivers license, etc, etc, etc.
I received 10 days in jail, $1000 fine, lost drivers license 6mos, etc, etc,etc.

There was one glaring reason he got off and I got shafted. Most if not all judges were lawyers at one time or another, and no doubt he was thinking to himself as I stood in front of him, "So, ya think you don't need a lawyer, do ya".

Get a lawyer.

get the DA they no the deal they no which judges are good and which 1's are homo's. is it a misdemeanor or a fleony? if its a misdemeanor deff. get the DA. dont waste ur money on a pricey lawyer over a misdemeanor

I live in Calilfornia and a BAC of even .001 is a DUI for a minor here. Strike one.
You were driving on the wrong side of the road and the cops witnessed it. Strike two.
Posssession of any quantity of pot is a felony in most states. Here in Cali, you'll only get a "ticket". Strike three.

You need a lawyer.

If you are going to trial then it's basically in the laws hands, man. The only options you have to choose from are A.) represent yourself/Accept whatever fate the judge hands you. B.) Get a public defender (It's free) C.)Flee like a mother fucker and hope that you never get pulled over again (because they'll issue a warrant for your arrest). But if the cops got you for a DUI or consumption and you're a minor you're just going to have to man up and do the right thing because most judges don't take that shit too lightly. Just do a few searches for the state laws about this subject. You'll get better idea of what you are looking at...and contact the public defenders office on monday, explain your situation and then maybe they can shed some light on the situation.

It will be with you for the rest of your life and is worth going into debt, begging, borrowing or stealing to get a REAL GOOD lawyer. You got the shaft, and someone that knows what they're really doing in a case like this might be able to help. If you get a public defender you are playing russian roulette with your future.

At least talk to a couple and give them all the details, then see if you think it's worth paying one of them.

And you better just lie and come up with something a lot better than your current story cause it sucks ass even if it's true. A judge will want to hit you in the head for being so dumb to flip off a dude flashing a gun. Claim to be that stupid and he'll think he's doing you a favor when he fucks you.

Dude where do you live???

the public defender recieves their paycheck from the same place that the district attorney does. they also recieve that paycheck regardless of the outcome and their client-base wont shrink if they suck at their job. they eat lunch with the district attorney and go to the judges christmas parties. talk to 10 people in prison for "some bullshit" who their attorney was, i bet 8 of them went with the P.D.
