Go with the kit I learned that about 1500 bucks later

I'd go with the Diablo

They sure seem nice

The 3bd kit has to low of a driver with it, not even getting close the the output those bds are capable of

I thought the kit was a lil more cheaper so I probably would go with the other one now or get the 700 kit

I'd get the kit. for one you are getting an extra qb. 3 boards vs 2. the Diablo are definitely nicer but I would choose 3 rspec over 2 Diablo personally. still a better spread.

also since your original light is the 260XL I think you have space for a 3rd qb on that heatsink too. so at some point you could upgrade that original fixture to a 320 as well so that you can have a nice even canopy.

totally agree I just meant factoring in everything, would seem easier to get an even coverage across an entire 4x4 or 5x5 area. seeing how the rspec and v2 are same number of diodes and the Diablo is different like you said.

I guess since he's in an open room w plenty of height this isn't as big of a deal. just thought it was worth considering.

Heatsinks have wattage limits and that may be why that kit offers a 350w instead of 480w.

I have 8 boards over a 5x5. I would happily have 12. You cannot have too many boards running lower. Mine are running 110w each at the moment.

Spread vs intensity is always the tradeoff. It depends what you want, how much vertical space you have. The more vertical space the more a higher intensity option works better...from fluence lighting which can sit 6" above the canopy to diablo boards to qb288 up to the qb96s. Down low diablo boards and their new designs allow for more of a fluence type grow. I would buy what works best to match your needs and not worry which is better. Even coverage should be the goal if theres enough intensity available.

Dam how’s that working for you I thought about putting basically a light for each plant but I was told it was a bad idea and just better to get one big 1
