Hello all, I am a first time grower.
I had no knowledge of how to grow before the beginning of March. I decided to give it a shot anyway and learn as I grow. I figured Id try growing with hydro using 5 gal buckets, air pumps from walmart and a 200 watt t5. I did not have alot of money and could only get the equipment I could afford. I did not want to spend money on good seeds for my first shot since I have never grown anything.
A friend of mine gave me 20 seeds that he had thrown on his car floor when he would roll. I checked them all by squeezing them. Only 6 didnt crack. I germinated all 6 and planted them in a 6 site DWC I made.
They were transplanted April 19th. I kept the lights 18/6 and switched 12/12 on May 4th.I needed to force flower due to limited space and not knowing if I even had any female plants. The first and biggest plant showed male parts within 7 days, 2 more showed at 10 days and 1 more male at 14 days. That left me with 2 females. I havnt had any problems so far. The only real problem I have is what type of strains I have. I seem to have 2 totally different plants. I didnt want to do any training my first shot or anything that may cause problems.
Today is day 55 of flower. I am looking for opinions on what I may have and how much longer I should go. The pistils on the left are turning color and is pretty swollen. The plant on the right looks like it still has new leaf growth? Im not really sure what to think. Let me know your opinions on what I have. Thanks
The plant on the left has decent sized dense flowers with alot of tricomes. The one on the right is the one im concerned about. Its fairly skinney and looks to have new growth on top.
