Right but you can run 4 cxb's from one HLG-185H-C1400B and get 50w per cob. With the 240H-C1400B version you can drive 5 cxb's at 50w per cob.

so you went from 3500k to 5000k

is this for flowering or vegging? dont get hung up on lumens they dont grow plants, PAR does and lower lumen chips like 2700k-3500k provide more PAR in the wavelengths you want despite the fact that they produce less lumens than 4000-6500k chips

Basically this light setup is for my flowering period. I will set up a veg tent/lighting setup in a smaller tent after I finish this tent. I'm researching Kelvin temp for the COBs right now and see that the 4000k gives more lumens/watt and PAR watts, and also raises the COB efficiency. So is the 4000k better than the 3500k?

Also after seeing a couple threads doing 3 rows of (4) CXB3590s, I think I'll be going with 12 of them and 3 HLG240h-1400b drivers (in which I would be able to dim to 700-1400 ma) on (3) 5.886"x44" Heatsink (i made it larger for better heat absorption and light spread). What do you think?

You're absolutely right, after doing the math the COBs will run @ 34.89 FV, so using Ohm's Law 34.89 x 1.4a = 48.846W per bulb. 48.846W x 4 = 195.384W. Earlier I was basing the FV off 36V, so 36 x 1.4 = 50.4 and 50.4 x 4 = 201.6 W. I thought that since the HLG 185h-1400c only went to a maximum Watt output of 200.2 W that it be too small in terms of wattage output so went with the bigger 240's which have ~250W

Id use hlg-240h-c1750b drivers with a pot so you can turn them down for better efficiency. They will still handle 4 cobs / driver and with those heatsinks, youll probably be able to use full power if you want...

I just tried to run 4 COBs on a HLG 240h c1750b and I got nothing.
