Need Side Lighting w/ Depth Issue in Cab

I need a new Cab...not going to happen right now. My Cab is about 3 ft wide and 4.5 ft tall, but only 15 in deep.

I'm doing a lot of brainbusting trying to figure out how to add some CFLs on the back or front and need some ideas. I've seen some real good ideas on this site, but can't nail this one down. I think the socket the power strip is going to stick out too far...same with clamp lights. LEDs would be perfect if they were not so expensive and were guaranteed. If they made really skinny adjustable high watt capable lamps that would be great too, but I can't find them.

Any other ideas?

Consider PL-Ls. Very efficient, high output, low heat lamps! Oh and they are very compact and thin unlike cfls. Only catch is you cannot buy it retail, you must buy a ballast, base (2g11), and bulbs on your own and wire it together. Its the perfect solution to a micro/compact/stealth grow. Again, high lumen per watt output, low heat, does not have to be so close to plants and is very very small and comes in different sizes (the bigger the bulb the higher the wattage ie. 36W = 16", 55W = 22" & other sizes) and you can mount the ballast on the outside to reduce heat even more.

Ive done my research on these bulbs and i must say it was a very foggy topic for me at first but now its the perfect solution!

here are the bulbs
and the ballasts

i would try some t5 strips. they are very skinny tube floros. they are less than 2 inches thick with ballast and bulb and are very efficiant and are sold for growing and are not very pricy at all. they have overhead fixtures with multiple tubes but you sound like you're just looking for some nice side light, which these are perfect for. you can get the high output ones and they kick out more lumens. i've been using them for quite some time. they come in 12'' lengths so they should fit perfectly.
