Need some autoflower help!!

Hey guys, I want to make a little setup that will run off a small generator. I was thinking about getting a 600hps or 400hps and some autoflowers. My goal is to make about a pound or more if possible in about 2 months time. What auto flowers are good yielding? I've read a little bit about Iranian short season autos but are not sure if thats what I should go with. My space isnt really limited just the amount of light I can run. Has anyone here really gotten 2 or 3 oz a auto plant indoors? Any suggestions?

I believe AK47 to be one of the best yielders. Personally I did not have much success with them due to a lot of newbie errors when I tried them. To date my best yielder has been an MI5 shortstuff.
But as the above poster states dont get to ambitious for your first attempt.

How much did you yield off the MI5? I've done a little bit of growing before, so I would think 2 zips an auto plant would be pretty realistic I just thought 3 zips is kinda out of this world. I would be using 5 gal pots and just wanted to shove as many pots as I can under the light. I'd be using the old magnetic ballasts (those work with generators).

Sorry I as a non-commercial grower I dont weigh anything. I just got several jars which has been my best to date. out of Diesel Ryder, MI5, White Dwarf, Easy Ryder.

It's a numbers game... and if your willing to drop the dough keeping a generator fueled and running for roughly 1400 hours, you might as well drop $225 ish bucks on 20 femmed easyryder autos (joint Dr). 9" diameter pots (2-3 gallon), keep them in a tight plot under 4'x4', use a reputable nute lineup, keep 600 watts air cooled as close as you can, and voila! As long as nothing technical goes awry, you'll average an oz per plant- IME.

Thats pretty much the plan except I'm using 5 gal pots about 12" diameter, also using the fox farm nute line as I have had great success with FF in the past. I have a ton of diesel ryder seeds but I would like to go with a known good producer, Although I've never grown the dr's under 18 hours light before (only outside) so I'm not sure how they would do. Anyone else have experience with the MI5 strain?

MI-5 is a great strain and a good yielder. You're right on track with the 5 gallon and fox farms. Check the grow journal in my signature. I just pulled 5 oz off four plants. Autos are very phenotype dependent. The biggest of the four yielded 61g dry, the smallest 16g dry - all under the same lighting with the same soil and nutes. 1.3 -1.5 oz per plant on average is about as hard as you can expect to rock an auto.

I've had good MI-5's before the one in my last grow (journal) was the 16 gram baby. Don't discount it though I've had 50g MI-5s in the past. I'd also highly rec Smurfberry from Sagmantha, Sweet Caramel from Sweet Seeds, and Auto Assassin from Short Stuff. Best of luck.

To elaborate a bit - I'm using 5 gallon smart pots and FF Ocean forest soil. For nutes, Cal Mag, Bush Dr. Microbe Brew, FF Tiger Bloom, and Sledgehammer Flush at the end. Filtered water only. Lighting - 690w LED (mostly Hydroponics Hut's Pro-Grow Line and GLH).

I think you're shooting pretty high though. A 600w HID will effectively cover, at the most a 4ft sq area. If you're going for max yield per plant IMO you won't have enough light to cover the roughly 12 or so plants you'll need to pull a pound.

Thanks for the input! my plan would be to cram 16 12" pots all together and just make a 4x4 canopy. Hopefully things turn out well.

I'm not a fan of the super autos, I've only tried them once but IMO, for the extra time it takes to grow them you might as well just do a photo period grow. I grew some super cali haze from Short Stuff, I was not happy with it at all, which was odd because I really do like most of the normal auto strains from SS.

i just started one easy ryder from attitude, and a freebie critical jack autofem, and then a random dank bagseed i found. soooo ill be updating along the way if you care to see? first grow wish me luck! 400w hps, organic miracle grow, no nutes
