So the room my friends growing in has a 15 amp breaker.
Hes trying to figure out if hes going to overload the fuse with his set up.

He will have a 400w hps(flower), a 105w cfl (veg), 2 small circulating fans, and a small 105cfm 4" fan.

Any ideas how to figure that out?

damn its been a while since i had to do these equations. but to be honest thats a fairly modest load on a house wall socket he shouldn't have any problems i have 2 400 watt hps/ mh lamps a t5 flouresent with 6 bulbs and a vent fan all in the same power strip plugged into one wall socket with no problem

Looks like you have a total of roughly 600w of power consumption. P(watts)=V (voltage) x I (current or amps), so 600=120x?. 600 divided by 120 = 5. So you will draw roughly 5 amps of current. You will be well within the breakers tolerance. :hump:

Ok, cool. He also has a guitar amp 50w in the same room which gets used, and a air purifier? Still all good?

:hump: considering you have a 400 Watt lamp and accessorys that are only taking up around 30 % of the max load I don't think 50w amp and a air purifyer are gonna push you over the edge
