need some help about cotyledon!!!

what up everybody. i am definitely new to all this and i smoke alot of weed, (dont we all???) and so i decided to grow some of my own!. But right now i have a seedling and the stem is reddish and seems to be leaning, and the cotyledons are curling up and yellowing, it has been sprouted for about a week and i still see no "true" leaves coming through the middle... is my seedling dead??!?!?

I've only been reading along here so take it for what it's worth, but rockwool is notorious for holding too much water.

Sounds to me like damping off disease. This happens to some seedlings when conditions are favorable for soil-borne pathogens such as root rot diseases. I would suggest letting it dry down for a day or two. Mist the leaves if need be to keep the little guy(or girl) if wilting occurs. It sounds like you may be past the point of no return but plants can do some amazing things. Good luck!

damn. thanks for all the help!! i appreciate it. i actually have "grodan" idk if thats the same as rockwool but im pretty sure it was from over watering tho and the light was about 3-5 inches away. it didnt get hot at all
