I got a problem. I live in an non-hospitable region of Canada and we have some crazy weather. The frost finally leaves and it starts to get warm around the end of May. Growing conditions are pretty good however, I mean we get a lot of light over the summer. Although it doesn't go away gradually like it does down south. The sun light change is fairly abrupt.
June 1st , there are approximately 16.4 hours of day light and tops out with 16.7 hours.
By the time mid-august rolls around there is still about 14.5 hours of sunlight. Now this would be the ideal time for the flowering process to start. I think it might start around then, but then again I keep hearing about the 12-12 thing.
August 31 = 13.5 hours
Sept 15th = 12.5 hours
Sept 22nd = 12
Now there is no way I would be able to harvest if it would start flowering in September. I doubt it would start flowering only when it turns 12-12. I am slightly hoping that I might be able to harvest a pure indica if it started flowering like the third week in August.
The weather turns to shit in October, anything past October 10th would be damn risky.
Would it be worth it to try with regular Photo plants? Or should I just get it crackin with auto's only? I was hoping to get something outside going for the 2012 season.
With that amount of usable time, would it be worth trying to set something up with photo plants? Which strains would you recommend if so?
I bought some Paradise Pandora's, and will be using them regardless... I was thinking those and maybe some NL#5's or some Top 44's.
