Hi farmars

Im growing in soil with 4x4 tents
400Watt MH
Use nameless hydro nutrients with EC1.1 PH 6.3
feed- water-feed- water method
room temp 27-31C

Here is my problems,
This plant have lighter color on leaves and lower leaves turned yellow and brown spots.
Some one told me maybe Im lack of calmag. I realized that might be my problem, because the nutrients I used doesnt contain calmag.
Since its been one week i fed with hydro nutrients which contain calmag.
My my plant does not getting any better. Still slow growth, soil even take longer to dry Light yellow leaves and brown spots in lower side
below pics is what it looks right now

Another plant is also showing brown on the leaf edge, lower leaves turned yellow and brown spots.
IMAG0835.jpg IMAG0834.jpg

and these are all of my plants. Trying to get it fit to the net for the first time.
I was thinking change to 12/12 in two weeks.
Don't know if its good to flip 12/12 since the plants dont look pretty well?

Have another question. It takes a week even longer to let the soil dry.
I use feed water feed water method. which mean feed every two weeks
Isnt that too long? some friend advise me feed with half amount nutrients and no water in between.
any suggestion that would help me a lot!!

One thing I would like to stress to any new grower, is when they hear 'Calmag', it is NOT one element alone.
It is 'Calcium', and also 'Magnesium', 2 common needed elements that are frequently left out of specialized ferts (nutes) that our plants like/ need.
A dose of calcium and magnesium every now and then will help keep your plants happy.
Yes, it does appear to me that yours could stand a does of both, and if you happen to have a nursery nearby (like "Pike's Nursery") that has some stuff in a pint bottle called "Maxi Cal", it works great for me and is only like 8 bucks for more than a season's worth of 5 plants, you can use that.
Here's a couple charts you can use for reference in your future grows.
Plus, before you start throwing more and more nutes to your plants, you should be sure of the PH of your water and be sure your plants can absorb the nutes that are in the water.

I have order botanicare Calmag. Still waiting for its shipping. dont know if I can mix it with nutrients, or I can only use alone? how much and how often should I use?
I did measure the nutrients when I feed.EC1.1 PH6.3 last time I fed.
I will try PH 6.5 today.
I want to flip 12/12 in one week, dont know if its good when my plants in strees?

Thanks for your advises, and chart reference!

well you add the cal/mag to the nutrient mix or with plain water at a rate of 5ml/gallon. Don't expect instant results, don't panic, and don't bother ph'ing your water with soil unless its off the charts to start. The soil has nutrients in it already, you don't need to fertilise at any set rate, just learn to read the plants and feed accordingly. You are right, don't put stressed or sick plants into flower, maybe give another week or so until you fix the problem/s.

Sorry bro, I'm not big on EC............. I just try to keep my PH around 6.2-6.8, being very vague.........
I even just use an aquarium test kit to check my PH, knowing that my tap comes out close to 8.5, but if I let it sit for the night, it will come down close to 8.
Glad you enjoyed the charts.
It all depends man.........
I have something called "Maxi-Cal", and it is only 1%N, but has a little P and K, so I just adjust my other stuff accordingly.
I normally don't go more than 15/15/15 in veg, every second water, and in flower, usually don't give any more N than I can avoid., but still give a mild 15/15 of P and K, not going overboard like some guys do, with the 52, like in 'Rock Resinator' and other stuffs.
Feel free to PM me and I'll try to help if I can, since I don't log in often here.

Get micro elements in a bottle and try to feed thru the foliage.1 week for soil to dry is fine but it depends on the pot size.also make sure u do water with only water every now and then this will help to reduce the salts that build up in the soil from fertilizer
