need some info on getting a medical marijuana license

So my girlfriend just told me that she just successfully applied for a medical marijuana card but she then said her doctor then asked her for a couple more documents, one of which was a criminal record check i think?
anyway she cant find the paper and rather than wait till she goes to her doctor again i was wondering if anyone in ontario or in general canada would know what papers her doctor was talking about?

A criminal record check should only be required in the event that your girlfriend wanted to have a designated grower. HC cannot ask for criminal checks for patients themselves, as your criminal history has no impact (nor should it) on whether or not you require medicine. If you apply to have a designated grower, I believe that they need to have a background check before they are approved.

Your girlfriend shouldn't need a criminal records check. Not unless she wants to be a DG.

I agree, I've only heard of DG requiring a criminal record check
