Been growing 10+ yrs. I used a 600w hps. In a 4x4x8' box. Last few grows had light airy buds. Figured my 8 yr old hps was getting weak,,,lol Had the extra cash and decided to go LED, my space is bigger now too.3x6x8'. I bought two of these https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01J2VMHJY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o03_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 and this one too https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01795XMEY/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
My first grow using these lights, buds were light and airy. huge buds, but light. I read somewhere where you can have too much light?? Thinking about making room 4x8 and throwing my 600w hps right in the middle. I currently have 6 plant's on about 6 weeks of flower. I was using both lights on each light. They have switches for veg and bloom. but for the last few weeks I use only bloom on smaller ones and both on center light. Somehow thinking using veg through flower on all three had something to do with light buds. I do different things each grow, last grow I used ffof and it feeds the plant for about 3 weeks, then I added more soil on top and figure that would feed it for a cple more weeks of veg. Then transplant into 7 gal grow bags. Wait about a week or so and switch to flower, with new transplant soil it feeds itself for another few weeks, I leave it recessed enough to add more soil for feeding thoughout flower. As I sit here and type this out, I think not giving nutes was my problem., I used this method on auto's and it worked great. Anyways, this grow of rasberry kush. I let it feed on soil for 2 weeks of veg, then started with fox farm big grow, big bloom, half strength. Plus I use ph adjusted koi pond water. Tons of nitrogen in it, got to be careful with the nutes.. In between a couple of the feeding, I use distilled to make sure ph is good and a break from feeding, I only feed every other watering, but even plain pond water has nutes in it. I also drop the big grow during flower and use tiger bloom and cal mag throughout flower. Flush about 10 days before harvest, when tric's are about 50% cloudy.
Anyone have any advise? more light? more nutes? less? 20200720_215345 (1).jpg20200720_215355 (1).jpg20200720_215404 (1).jpg20200720_215416 (1).jpg20200720_215425.jpg20200720_215355 (1).jpg20200720_215404 (1).jpg20200720_215425.jpg

Well you bought some of the worst LEDs available , but even so you should of had enough light even with those.

Have both switches on all through flower, you just cut your light down in last two weeks for no reason.

Personally I would of rather stuck with HPS and polished your reflectors and got new bulbs.

I would try and remain consistent for several grows instead of changing shit up every grow.
Do a bit of training and lower your lights a bit.

Hard to say much on the nutrients without seeing the end result. Got any pics of the finished product? Or just before you chopped?

IMO airy buds is down to lack of light, chopping early or diminished co2, though most people don't suffer from that when they are exchanging enough air.

Yeah those are only 125w each mate so would take 5 of them to equal the power of the HPS. The worse news is that the penetration on them is brutal so no matter how much you use it'll never equal the HPS.
I use similar tech, got a bunch of mars 600s (240w) they're alright if you can keep your plants short as fuck and really flat canopy but soon as you let em stretch you've got no chance. The light just doenst stretch far enough. Go back to hps buddy :)

This is the last grow a week or two before harvest. thick but airy.

Do you have air exchange going on or do you rely on the window unit to control temps and add co2?

I would defo top your plants.

i made the same mistake, i bought 2 300w viparspectras when i first got into growing and wanted to convert to led, i find they are good for veg but for flower, they produce airy lackluster buds themselves...
Sold them on to a mate who was starting up after the first grow lol.
