hey people, ive currently been having heating issues which was 40 degrees every time it was on a 18/6 cycle. but ive put it in my walk in wardrobe now with an exhaust fan and a oscilating fan. the ducting pipe from the exhaust fan is at my front window. now with the fan exhausting the hot air out it has dropped to 31 degrees which is alot. now if i do my 18/6 cycle at night and use the exhaust fan for input insted. will this cool the grow area down alot more? because its sucking cool fresh air frm my window? please give me ur ideas and inputs :) .

I am gonna do this in Fahrenheit because I'm a yank.... From all that Ive read your optimal temps are 68 night and 86 day. The cycling of the temps causes a pumping action in the plant causing nutrients to be pushed upwards as the plant warms up. you need the variation for effective nutrient distribution.
dropping to 56 or lower at night will slow nutrient uptake by the roots and temps above 86 will also start the plant to go into water conservation mode restricting upward movement of nutrients. temps in excess of 96 degrees seem to start to damage the plant and will begin to negatively impact yield. However it is my belief that extreme high temps may improve potency as it forces the plant to produce resins to protect it's self.
That information is what I remember from maximum yields magazine as well as from personal experience.
As long as you think of the plant as a temperature (and humidity) controlled nutrient pump and know it's tolerances you will do well.

Note: bringing unfiltered outside air into your grow room can introduce bugs and mold spores, it is worth thinking about.

well its night time at the minute, and the temp is 31 degrees. and thats with the fan exhausting the hot air out my window but i wasnt sure if i switched the exhaust fan to an intake fan, which would suck the cool air from outside. wasnt sure if that would make the grow space temp go down even more?

I can say your pretty impatient. People are not just sitting around the house on Sunday waiting to answer your questions. I just answered a question in you other thread about the same thing. Relax, you will be fine. You can also look at my thread for 12-1 lighting cycle anb use it during veg and you will only be running your lights 13 hrs instead of 18. If you use the search button and do a little research yourself you can find all the answers, you are not the first one on here with this problem. I am going to go back to watching football, so I will not be on here to respond.

extracting the hot air will be better than blowing cold air in so leave it extracting, you could buy a bigger fan for extracting and have this one bringing in fresh cool air.
