Need some insight on some concentrate pills for back pain.

Hey RIU! I have around 3 grams of oil ready to evape(qwiso). Normally I would winterize but I made this batch for the sole reason of making some pills I could take for my back pain. I have pins and screws in my spine after having a tumor removed, and I also had several pieces of bone taken off my spine and some pieces of ribs removed as well. So a bi-product of all that is chronic pain. Im looking to make a pain relieving pill that I can take at night to help me sleep, as well as when the pain is more intense than normal. Ill probably fuse the oil with some coconut oil so I have maximum potential of the product. My question is, Should I winterize my product or not?

As long as the iso has been fully purged out there is really no need to winterize. If you winterize it since it is just for pain, you can always leave it a little runny with the grain alcohol and it will absorb right into your tongue almost instantly. At least mine did.

I let my oil naturally decarb over a 90 day period. It was winterized QWISO. I noticed after it decarbed the touch of grain alcohol left behind changed also. It suddenly turned to a nice sweet flavor. Then the QWISO gained a cannabis taste.

Just personal preference really. I am preferring just to go with the grain alcohol to begin with and a frozen extraction without winterizing for ingesting.

For me, instead of pills going with a glass vial with a dropper. I will deliberately leave a bit of grain alcohol in it. Just can't store it in syringes due to the expansion. I haven't done it yet but have placed my order for the vials.

There's really no point in winterizing it. You should probly decarb though!
Winterizing is the last thing you should be thinking about
High proof ethanol tends to burn, for it to absorb efficiently sublingually I would suggest a glycerin tincture..

Thanks guys, Im purging right now and I skipped the winterizing. I'm going to obtain the oil first and do some more reading before I decide what I want to do with it. Im new to edibles so this is a new learning process for me. I see I have tons of options and im not to picky. I just want something discreet and easy to medicate with while on the go or where I cant smoke.

In my experience, using topicals work better than smoking wax for injuries.

BadKats Cannacaps recipe, the one using coconut oil and lecithin powder. Ive already decarbed and am going to head to the store tomorrow or maybe yet this evening to get what I need. I will post back when Im finished.

I took about a 250 to 300mg dose soaked lightly into a triskit last night and this morning 10 hours later im still feeling the effects at work fairly nicely.
