24inch grow light and a 60watt cfl i need help is that to much light not enough light please some one just give me some really good tips please there planted in 6 inch pots please i need help

what type is the 24 in light ? HID?.. definately enough lighting for veg stage

yeah it looks like the color of when you would see in a fish tank like a blue purble white color

You need to make sure the lights are the right color temperature 6500k for veg and 2700k for flowering, a combination of both is great for veg.Is that all the lighting you have??? you will need more for flowering and for veg depending on how many plants you have.So how many plants you growing??

You're on the right track for sure with the 60 watter, and combined with the other light that would probably be okay for one plant to veg on. If you have more than one, chances are they'd be happier with another couple bulbs, like 42 watts or so. If you had your current two lights and another one or two, that would probably do you decently for three plants or so.
Basically, get them as much light as you're willing to spend a few bucks on. It's a first grow, so definitely don't spend too much money, but $20-30 on a few good bulbs and sockets is pretty easy and will get you a really long way, and last you a good long time for many grows to come.
Do some reading on here, check out particularly the stickied guides. The other basic things to know about are soil pH (assuming you're doing a soil grow), nutrients, and watering. All that's very well covered in various places around the board in easy to find places.

What are you asking?
Will 3 plants grow with the lights you have? Yes.
Will you be able to harvest a pound with he lights you have? No.
You are going to need to read so much man. It's not just put a seed in a pot, put it under a light, and water it. I mean, it is that simple, but you will not get good pot at the end.
IF you are only going to use those lights and nothing else throughout an entire grow... then, you need to switch to 12/12 when they are pretty small, or else they will be too big for the lights. And that's just the beginning.
I'm really not trying to be a dick, but this whole growing pot thing is complicated as hell.

i know its hard i have a few books i just wanted more advice i kno i need to switch lights when it flowers

There's definitely a lot to know, but heck, don't think of it as hard. Some people have very successful crops from very successful grows on no chem nutes, just good soil, good water and plenty of the right light. Generally you need to have your shit together to do that, granted, but the core of growing weed is simple. It's when we get all fancy and super-effective that it gets complex.
I do like the fact that you basically have to be a herbologist, a biochemist and an electrician to grow. See, stoners (or at least growers..) are so damn smart, and nobody knows. If you say "I grow weed," most people automatically think "stupid no-account screw up.." Mmm, hate that.
And Blaznbasturd, yeah. You need to switch to 12/12 light cycle as you know, and also switch from primarily 6500K lights to 2700K, since it better simulates the color temperature range of fall sunlight. Cheers!
