Oh and i took no offence i know there are a lot of sales people out there to make a buck. The good ones are out to help. Its amazing how little the former actually sell compared the the helpers

Yep some hydro store guys know nothing. Gives us a bad rap lol. Nothing agenst amazon i shop there to. It isnt amazon its the led marketing and half truths.
Very true, but even then i fall back on the "you get what you pay for" and like you said "if it sounds too good to be true then it is", only cheapo LED ive ever been happy with is galaxyhydro and that is solely as a filler light, using it as main lighting still sucks lol. My personally LED of choice is Platinum's, both because of the exceptional experience ive had with them and partly Because the bad experiences i had with KIND's. i haven't personally run any cree/cob units yet since my platinum's have served me so well haven't needed to replace any lighting for a few years

Hi I'm a newbie looking for some tips, I'm starting my first grow soon using a 600w hps in a 120x120x200 grow room, I've bought sensi A+B grow and A+B bloom and ph up and down and testers I think I mainly want/need to know is there any other nutes I would need, what is a good ph level how much would I yield I wanna grow 2-3 plants (any recommendations on how many) and was planning on growing big bud.

In a 4x4x7' tent like yours a 600 should get you a nice yield. As you've read in some responses you can grow as few or as many plants as you want. One plant in a good ScroG, especially a DWC ScroG, could yield as much as 9 plants in pots. If plant counts are an issue you need to get as much as you can out of fewer plants.

I use AN nutes myself and along with the base nutes I always use Big Bud to boost the buds and I hate running out of it as I've tried a few others and they never worked as well. Rhino Skin is the other AN product I love and use from the seedling stage to add strength to the stems and defense against bugs, mildew and drought.

DO NOT follow the feed schedule that AN posts on their website. If you give your plants the 4ml/L through all stages like they say I promise you will get nute burn so bad you'll kill your plants. I generally use 2ml/L every 2nd watering and might go 3ml/L if the plants tell me they can handle it. With DWC I measure the ppm and adjust according to the stage of growth and environmental conditions. Lower ppm with warmer temps and lower RH, higher ppm if it's a bit cooler with a higher RH. Pretty much the same with growing in pots of ProMix as when the humidity is low the plants drink a lot more water so need to have lower nute levels to help prevent nute burn.

I also use a bit of CalMag and if you are going with coco then you likely need to use a bit more than I do. Some epsom salts are good to add once in a while for some extra sulfur which is what most bloom boosters use as it helps promote resin production. I also use a bit of molasses to feed the myco and grind up a few vitamin pills like inc, iron and B-complex to help keep them healthy. Don't know how much that helps but it doesn't seem to hurt. :)

As you already have your lights discussion about what type to use are moot. I would use that dual-spectrum right thru the stretch period which lasts about 3 weeks after you switch your light to 12/12 to flower them. The extra blue light in it will help reduce the amount of stretch and promote the rapid growth the plant goes thru at that time. Once stretch is over then switch out that light for the Super HPS to the end. I've use Hortilux bulbs for 16 years and like Big Bud I hate to grow without them.

Good luck!

:peace:

120x120x200CM and I'm using canna coco professional plus (read somewhere it's good stuff but what do you think?)
Yep its good. You don't have to add perlite but it does help.

Water cloth pots slowly they tend to leak out of the sides if you throw it all in at once which may lead you to think you have run off when you havnt fully saturated the pot. You want some run off, it helps keep down any build up of salts and it draws oxygen into the root zone too.

Your nutrients will be fine, get a bottle of calmag because coco latches onto calcium, especially when its new.
I prefer to use coco specific nutrients which contain more calcium, such as canna coco A+B which you run for both Veg and Bloom periods.

You can re use coco coir many times.

Oh and just to throw my 2cents in on plant count and yield, 4 plants, 9 plants, 16 plants, it all works, just comes down to veg time, while on that subject I wouldn't veg more than a month in 11ltr cloth pots, probably not more than 3 weeks since the root system will grow like crazy, you can if you like but you will have to water more often. And (serious answer) on yield a pound is easy with that light and space provided you use your space well, much more than a pound is possible once you get used to growing with the equipment you have.

One thing abought feeding scedules. They are written with the assumption that your under 1k lights. Plants use light and co2 to metobalize the nutrients. Think of light and co2 as food and nuts as vitamins. 600 w light uses 40% less nuts off the rip.
