Need To Build A Carbon Scrubber!!

i have some 12x40 mesh coconut active carbon a homie gave me to use. can anyone shoot me a link to a DIY carbon filter? i need one badly. shit is stinking up !!! thanks in advance!!!

I have built a couple carbon filters. The truth is save yourself some time and expense. Buy one that is already made.
Unless you like doing DIY projects.

this is a website is which people that have used carbon filters before have knowledge on them. hence the post... the search im conducting is right in front of you. silly!

FYI - I built one from scratch before and it didn't perform nearly as well as my Can-Filter does. It did work well, just not like the Can-Filter does.

i went with buying one. and i could build these things. there really not hard. i haev the same exact carbon that is in the Phresh Filter i purchased. i just couldn't wait. i had to rush out and buy. so i did. but i have about 11lbs of active carbon. so i will build one and see ho wit works. putting the DIY one in my veg room, just for extra bonus.

Dude(ette), google this, there are DIYs all over the place out there. I used to have some bookmarks but I got rid of them when I realized I could buy one for around $50.

The part that is very difficult to diy is the packing of the carbon.

I think CAN uses a machine to shake the carbon into place and pack it in tight.

I'm curious if you have an idea of how you would achieve a tight filter. Not challenging your ability, just curious.

If you think about the astronomical number of possibie arrangements for each piece of carbon to be, it is a lot.
With each possible arrangement, there is a precise volume that the carbon tightly fits. Achieving that perfect arrangement with household equipment could be tricky. I don't know you though. Maybe you have some McGuyver shit in your sleeve.

If you have loose spots, the effectiveness of your filter is compromised.

its not rocket science there buddy, lol!!! the carbon will settle after a some use and you refill. how many have you made? what makes you such an expert? liek i said its not rocket science. and you may not know what carbon i have. i have the same exact carbon. and that machine you speak of is mearly a vibrating or a shaking machine. similar to a paint shaker. im sure i could simulate that action, (ill leave my next comment out on account you may not be able to handle it).....and McGuyver? HA!!! he learned from me and my crew homie. trust me, its not hard at all. there is many ways to go about it. sounds like you had some bad luck in the past with DIY carbon filters....

HEY BROTHER!! i know, i looked a bunch up. thing with google is all you get is threads. not many with directions and material listings. i have several directions for different units and think with all the info i have acquired i could easily make one. but with time restraints and needing one that second i had to go out and buy one. ill make one for my veg room. just for extra bonus since i have the same exact carbon thats in the Phresh filter i bought. they dont pack there filters as good as ol Hank says they do either. dont believe everything you hear online. in fact i wouldn't even believe half the shit people say. especially on this sight. i made a DIY aerocloner that is fucking kicking major ass right now. im not all about the DIY either, just a few things here and there to save a few bucks so i can get better higher end equipment. know what im saying??
