Need to dry some buds in two hours....

My woman is starting to give me shit for my grow. First one was a CFL joke that produced smoke...but was not as good as we can get here in the Pacific NW. This one is a 400w MH/HPS grow and going big.

I keep trying to tell her that I am growing good bud...but she wants some smokeable results.

Is it possible to cut the small bud off the plant and do a quick cure tonight to show her what we got? I am assuming that you remove as much stem and leaves as possible, but how do I do a good quick cure??

There's always an oven dry, but dude, if you're trying to prove you've got some GOOD bud she needs to chill and just have a lil patience, IMO. It's hard to represent in the flavor dept when you're in a hurry. At least you'll get an idea of the potency though, assuming you're about ready to chop anyway.

i have no idea what you could do man, but pacific nw? bc bud is the best bud in the world and right next to washington, i've smoked the best weed i've ever had out there. you could maybe put the bud in the microwave, that would sure dry it up, but you still have the chlorophyll which is the whole point in drying...... the only way to get it to disapate is with time, and idk if i would smoke something out of the microwave, but i guess it would be no different then eating, so i really don't know. just hide it from your girl outside in a box or something, if you live in the apartment, just the last place you think she'd look, it shouldn't be that hard to figure out..... i honestly think there is absolutely no way to dry a bud properly and quickly.

oh, i just reread that, you want her to test your shit huh? there's nothing you can do. drying it fast would make it taste like shit and she wouldn't like it. iin my opinion that would just hurt your cause

just let a tiny bud dry for like a couple days and it should be properly cured if its not too big, then show her. chlorophyll is what gives you a headache in weed, so buzz isn't as good, and it gives it that "green" taste

yeah, but those buds look great in the pics, i think it would be enough to give her an idea and show that he knows what he's doing

Good advice. I feel like that will actually have a negative effect if it tastes like grass clippings and gives you a headache.

I still got a good sized sack so I will smoke her out and do some Tequila shots. Give her a good fuckin' and remind her she should have said something 9 weeks ago when I started.

There is good bud up here. 120 miles from B.C. actually.....I think that is why all these plants look so good and they were all bag seeds.

We call b.c AAA regs in cali. I been all around the world smokin ans IMHO I think cali has the best.

Ok dude I have a few ways for you which depend on your climate/ environment:


1. If it's hot outside where you are (90f plus) then park a car or your car in direct sunlight and put freshly cut and trimmed bud in brown paper bag and put bag on dash. It will be bone dry ready to smoke in 2-4. Hours depending on how hot it is. I open a window a little to help vent. Offcourse This may not be possible for you unless you have a nice secluded driveway.

2. Get a fan heater and put it on the lowest heat setting, again out bud in brown bag and let it sit about a foot away from bag, takes a little longer more like 4-8 hours.

Remember these are only ways to quick dry so taste and potency will suffer to an extent compared to natural air dry with long cure. But from my experience you get 90% of the buds true taste and effect which isn't bad for a few hours prep time.

If she really doesn't have the patience I would just get a good smelling/tasting bud and pull the ole switcheroo. Just be like yeah I clipped this off yesterday and she'll never know. Usless she studies the plant.

That is not even near ready yet.
Your quality will be greatly reduced if you cut now, and without a decent cure the product will not be impressive.

clip a gram off, put it inside an envelope, place the envelope somewhere warm (top of tv, or outside if hot enough) let the bud dry atleast 10 hours and you will have some dry bud that wont taste as good as it could, but will be as potent as it is.

you have already waited this long why not do it right and wait a bit more. would you go to a nice restaurant and demand that the chef lets you taste the food before he is done cooking then plating it? tell your girl to chill. you could show her a grow journal on here that is complete. compare pics to your grow and what stage you are on and then show her what the results will be. or you could just ask her what she is doing out of the kitchen...

Wait it out, if you can't then wrap up a bud in a paper towel, then place ontop of your receiver on your tv. Check it every hour, should be ready in < 6ish hours.
