Need to move outdoor plants to the indoors, and would like your input

Hi Everyone:

I'm new to the forum: it looks like a great source of information (and awesome pics!), and I hope that you guys and gals can give me some guidance.

My wife and I have a few potted plants in our yard that are approx. three weeks from maturity. Anyway, to make a long story short, somebody has discovered our crop and helped themselves to a few buds. I'd like to move our plants indoors before we get cleaned out, but I don't know anything about the effect that this will have on the development or quality of the final "product".

My question is: Is a grow light necessary at this late stage? They're going to be harvested in three weeks or so, and I'd rather not shell out for lights if I don't have to. They won't get any direct sunlight in the house, but quite a bit of ambient (we have lots of windows). Please let me know if this will have a negative imact on the potency and/or yield.

Thanks in advance,

YES a grow light is necessary.Look on craigslist for "high bay shop light". Buy a used HPS unit. $50 is as high as one should be complete with a used HPS bulb in it. Heavy as hell but hang from a ceiling joist. Or I separate the ballast from the fixture and wire it with 10/3 copper wire and hang it anywhere. Magnetic ballasts and they usually are 400 watt. I have never purchased a "grow light" as a kit. I buy these with both MH and HPS bulbs with the HPS the most common.

Put razor blades in your stems facing outwards....when they lose a finger, they'll think twice to steal, fucking thieves

welcome to RIU

you are going to need light to finish them out--it'll be worth whatever money you need to put out to get them to harvest. even consider a T5HO light too, but hotrodharley has a good idea.

sorry someone stole your grow; at least they didn't chop the whole plant, but you are smart to move them because you know they'll be back.

I dont recommended moving or transplanting...u will stress ur plant n could cause seeds or full blown hermies! Up ur security! Cameras! Borrow a friends dog! Eletrical fence using car battery n copper wire..solar powered garden lights around ur crop..trip wires weaved between plants...rubber hornet crowd control bullets are also non lethal detternts
