Ive read here and there on on couples of forums that Hermi seeds cannot germinate. I had and hermi skunk with loads of seeds. So I decided to give it a try. Just to experiment the thing. I have 5 germinated out of 8. I dont know what will they lead to. B or G or hermis. I'll let you guys know.

If they are "self-ed" seeds and not pollinated by a male then most all will be Female with possible Hermaphrodite tenancies.

And they will germinate just fine given that they are not too old or abused.

Where have you read that hermie seeds wont germinate? I dunno about that mate. If its true, Id like to know who said it so I can ignore everything they have to say from this point forth.

This is how I started growing, was given a plant that self-pollinated...at the time I didn't know but a streetlight stressed out the lady.

The following spring I popped 20 of the beans:

14 were female
5 were male
1 slightly hermied

Surprised the hell out of me, b/c everyone kept telling me that hermaphrodite mothers produce hermaphrodite offspring.

Very similar story to my own.

I got one batch of buds that were chocker block with seeds. Almost more seed than bud. Got 100+ seeds. Grew 20+ over the coming years. Not one male. One slight hermie (just a couple balls here or there), and one full blown hermie.

I was quite surprised also.

There seems to bad a lot of opinions but not much fact on hermi's and self pollinated plants out there. My buddy gave me 8 bagseeds last year. 3 of them germinated and grew into mature plants. We stressed the crap out of them as we were just learning to grow and eventually the 2 weaker looking ones grew bananas. We got what looked like 7 viable seeds and a few immature ones. This year we currently have 7 confirmed females growing throughout our property and all but 1 look relatively healthy (for a newbys 2ndgrow).

I am hoping to get one plant to throw bananas again and get some of the same seeds for next year and possibly try crossing it with a white widow auto we have growin. Heres a couple of pics of last years grow attempt. We ended up with 2 1/4 oz's lol, but learned alot!!

All female seeds are from hermie plants, that's why females seeds are more likely to hermie than plant grown from reg seeds

Just leave one plant in flower, give it couple of extra weeks and she will hermie

if a plant that is easily stressed into hermi then its offspring will also be easily stressed
if a plant that is harder to hermi is FORCED by chemical/hormone triggers then the offspring are just as likely to hermi as the parent plant was
the feminization process doesnt change the genetics into hermi's its the silver in the CS or gibberellins depending on which method is used that gets absorbed and binds to other chemicals that induces male flowers

So are females that grow nanners considered a true hermi? Like i mentioned above, my plants last year had quite a bit of stress and possibly flowered a couple extra weeks and grew nanners and a few seeds. Those seeds have grown into all female plants this year and no sign of male parts. I have a little bushy clone that i plan to try and get nanners and seeds off of again this year, so i can keep this strain goin. Here's a pic of 6 inbred offspring lol.

sounds about right and don't see why you can't do this every year :)

Hermie plants, some plants will go Hermie and show male and female parts in mid flower so theses are not good, but others will Hermie a couple of week after the plants should have been harvest
and these are the ones you want to keep as the plants will be female plants most the time and only Hermie if you flower to long just like the mother plant
