Need wiring help + my stealth box construction pics

Picked up this 2-tube fixture at HD for sprouts/clones thinking it would just plug straight into the wall, obviously it's meant to be wired directly to the wall or ceiling. This does me no good, and I'm no electrician so I could use some help. I've never seen that orange plug before and I'm not sure what to do with it. I've read on here that it's possible to splice it into an extension wire, but I'm not sure how to go about doing that. If anyone could give me a step by step or pictures even, that would be a godsend.

Below are some very boring pictures of my box in progress (I just started today), but I included them for people like me who used to think making a nice grow box was far too expensive or too much work. The tub is holding my gear, but once I get the hang of growing I'm going to convert it all into a bubbleponic setup a la Roseman's DIY style. I originally thought I would only have room for 2 plants in 8" pots, but it looks like I can easily fit 1 or 2 more. You can see in the picture how well the fixture sits in the bottom of the shelf, which is why I wanted to try and include it for my clone shelf. The lighting will consist of 3 105w CFLs in clamp reflectors, and if they get too hot I'll drop it down to 2. 2x6500k : 1x2700k during veg, then opposite during flowering is the plan. Next step is to start drilling holes, wiring my vent fans, and wrapping everything up in mylar, as the plastic is thin enough to let a little light in.

My first grow so I'm very excited. I have to wait for the fans and lights to come in anyway, but I'm dying to get this fixture setup so I can at least be ready to start sprouting.

Alright, thanks to a little headsup from trouble9039 and a little google searching I fixed the problem.

1) Cut off the orange quick disconnect and strip the wires

2) Cut off the female end of the extension cord and strip the wires.

3) Match white to white, black to black, and splice together with a yellow wiretwist connector. My extension cord wires weren't color coded, so I had to trace it back to the plug. Wide prong = white wire.

4) ILLUMINATE!
