So my girl will be ready to harvest in a week or 2. I went ahead and got my closet cleaned out and ready to use it for my drying process. I used a blackout curtain so no light comes in. I set my temp/humidity gauge in there to see how if it was good to dry in. It stays 69-71 degrees with 50-57% RH. Is that good for drying?

Yes. Do you have a dehumidifier? I set mine to 55%. You may want a small clip type fan, pointed at the wall or a baffle, basically not blowing directly on the branches.

Without a dehum it's quite difficult to maintain an even decrease in humidity. Definitely get one.

Ok yes I'm sure once all my branches get in there the humidity will go up, and yes I have a fan I will set on the floor right under everything and face the wall on a low setting and can put dehu in there as well. It's in my bedroom so I just told my wife to leave pur ceiling fan on high all day until I'm done drying. Thanks for the info my brothers!!

The dehu is going to heat that room up super hot. What’s your plans to counter that heat ?

And possibly my ac until.is right next to.my.closet so.i could.put my fan in front of the AC and have it shooting into my closet possibly get Temps down tomorrow with doing that.

Not necessarily. I live in a dry climate so I need a humidifier, not a dehumidifier. And his RH right now is around 55% which is about perfect.

I agree about trying to lower the temps though. I aim for 65 degrees when I can. But 60 degrees is good too and will prolong the drying time.

Ok cool, I doubt I can get it to 60, but I have a little branch I am testing in the dry area now I am on day 4 and its still pretty wet. So I think I can have it dried in 10 days. Is that a good dry time and then jar it?

Ya. I wish I could make it 10 days, but it doesn't work for me here. 2 weeks is even better, but I manage just fine. I usually have to jar after 4-5 days and just burp more for a bit. Even with my humidifier keeping the RH around 55%.

I also dry in summer when I can rarely get it below 70 sometimes, and it works too. It's definitely better to have cooler temps, but I have all my stuff in my bedroom, so I do what I can. I don't run an AC here, since it doesn't usually get very hot, and it always cools down at night.

Well I have had a lower branch really little and like I said its day 4 and still really wet. Normally the little stuff dries pretty fast so my drying process could take longer than 10 days. And my RH the whole time I should keep around 50-55? Correct

Ok, I just check back at my gauge it got to 48 percent just now, but once I put alot of branches in there to dry won't the RH rise?

I think it's because my.wife turns our AC down at night throught the day it's stays 72 in our home and at night we turn it to 70, so now through thr day the drying room is 70 temp.and 50-55 RH and at night like right now my temps.are at 65 and 48 RH.
