needs help to start first grow

im new to growin and i want to start my first grow in my basement closet and grow one plant can i just get a desk lamp thats adjustable and flourescent light bulb and keep it 3 inches above the plant ? give me ideads please help

Going to need a little more light then that. I'd get a shop light with to cool white bulbs for veg Then you will need more light when you start to flower.I get a 150 watt hps for and use it for both stages . You can pick them up for less the $100.

I myself use 4 t8 shop lights for veg and a 400 watt hps for flowering. And usually get a a oz off a plant.

How tall do you let your plant get?

if your doing indoor grow theres many things you need and need to know to do a successful grow.
