I was thinking of picking up Neem oil to help protect my plants would this work?
What's the problem you're having? Neem oil has work quite well for me on aphids, spider mites and caterpillars. Not sure if it would work on snails/slugs. The best part is it's natural (no chemicals).

I used it this year on aphids and caterpillars and it worked excellent. I used it on broccoli and it didn't affect the taste at all

Iam not quite sure but i think its spidermites, moths and grasshoppers i will try to get some pics up tomorrow. Now my next question is i did some research on neem oil and i read that its something like a foliage cover for the leaves so how would this kill insects and bugs?

Spray the top and bottom of your leaves as well as the stock and branches if you have mites. It will get the little fucers that like to hide.

Neem Oil has worked great for me against Thrips, Aphids, mites... little bugs in general. Now I'm starting a little war against those worms and caterpillars, you know the larvae from the moths and little butterflies. Ugh, I hate them so much! They ruined a few plants last year... Anyway, you think neem oil could keep them off as well?

Neem oil is the shit. I use it for to foilar spray my plants and soil for bug prevention, up to about 3/4weeks flowering. It tastes like shit to bugs and they won't eat your plant. It breaks down after 10-14 days, so there is no neem smell or taste left on your crop at the end, but the bugs should leave your plants well alone!
