give my plant the first soaking of neem oil to fight off the minutes I’ve fought it was heat stress for ages but got the loupe out and it was the dreaded mite so I’ve got neem oil mixed it into a litre of water little bit of washing up liquid to help it and drenched my plants round two in a few days and hopefully the mites will be gone

Them things suck,i always heard neem oil works good, never tried it myself. When i have had them,i just boil about a half oz of raw tobacco, let it cool, strain, and put in a spray bottle, and spray them down a few times over 2 weeks, and has always got rid of them, and the eggs. Knock on wood.

How does the tobacco work ? Do u mean like smoking tobacco you get from the shop ? I hope it works they’re in veg at the moment so I can keep em in veg till they’re eradicated and then flip to flower so fingers crossed

The nicotine from it is a all natural organic pesticide, i smoke, but i make my own cigarettes, and buy my tobacco in pound bags, and use about half oz to a 2 quart pot,and bring to a boil, and let cool. Been doing it for years, and works on just about any pests, and i have used it on budding plants as well, just not near the end.

You don't have to soak them down in it,just a good spray over, paying extra attention to the bottom sides of the leaves.

So I just boil tobacco let it cook use as a foliage spray and it works like the neem oil ? Does it leave the harshness that been oil is meant to leave ? Just in case I’m battling for a long time and need to flip to flower ?

Like i said,i have never used neem oil,so i wouldn't know, the tobbaco spray leaves a little residue,or sheen on the plant, but dissipates after a couple weeks,or just simply spraying them down with water will remove it,it has never effected the plants smell, taste etc.

All that said,i should note when making this tobacco tea as i call it,it has no shelf life, always make a new batch the next spray.

What kind of mites? It matters as neam will only lightly shock spider mites if at all, everything else needs a heavier approach.

If it only shocks them, then i guess i been doing something right all this time then, lol. because i have had the borg more than once, and nicotine eradicates them after a few applications, and of course cleaning the grow space.

I have always read that seems like a lot of people like neem oil,but i just never had any need for it,the nicotine sprays, and a layer of diatomaceous earth on the top layer of soil has pretty much always worked for me.

One of the members here turned me onto a solution that has worked as good as anything I have seen. Do yourself a huge favor and try this. Take a quart of 99%iso and a quart of tap water. Mix and Spray. I shit you not, it works so well. Best store sold stuff I've bought was Green Clean (one of the ingredients is iso). But for real, try it, you won't regret it. Veg only.

Dang, almost seems like alcohol would be harmful to plant tissue, but i have never tried,so i can't dispute it. Definitely not while budding, hahaha,be making some iso hash on the bud, lmao.

Yeah I thought I was going to burn the shit out of them so I test spotted and it was ok, then ended up drenching the shit out of them every 3 days for 2 weeks and it took 5 heavily infested mothers done to nothing. Dries them right up.

Also check out PureCrop1...........it's work by nano-technology, i don't fully understand it but it seems to stimulate the plants natural defense mechanisms so it can fight off the little critters. I use it in week 3 and 4 in veg, and every 4-5 days until the plants start to flower- about 10-12 days or so.

Nicotine nor raw habenero pepper water dunks worked for me as a one week done type treatment, some people have luck with it though, id say stick to that and always have a second bottle of something hard as a backup, green clean works on pretty much everything but eggs.

I actually dont see spider mite damage on that plant, if its russet/broad mites then i would absolutely no questions asked skip all that home remedy stuff and go straight to what works.
