^Exactly, except in rare circumstances. There's no risk of plants burning due to the 'magnifying effect' of water droplets, unless the droplets are actually raised above the leaves surface. I read a study once, where this was tested among a few plants, and it was found that the only plants at risk, were plants with 'hairs'(I can't remember the actual name) growing from their leaves, that were capable of keeping the water droplets elevated. Cannabis was also tested, and listed as a non-risk.
Now, I s'pose there are special circumstances which could create conditions that could burn your plant, but I wouldn't worry about it too much. Where I would hesitate, is if your plants are still in seedling stage, under really intense light, if your spraying them with some kind of chemical, like a pesticide, etc..... Anyway, add a drop of dishsoap to your mix, which'll break the surface tension of the water, making droplets, and risk of burn, a non-issue.
In saying that, I should add that I still back off my lights a couple inches, for 1/2 hour or so, after a good soaking. Even though I don't believe there's much risk, I've read so many damn times "don't do that",lol that I back them off, just to be safe. Bastards got me paranoid, even though I've read proof!!!
