neg air vs. even air flow

what is better to have negative air(larger exhaust fan then intake fan) or equal air(same size intake and exhaust fans)? and why one is better then the other. for what ever reason like heat, plant health, or what ever. pix of setup, what your running, and why. thank you.

You want neg pressure during flowering so you can control odor. If you have equal or positive pressure in your grow area.. it would push air out of every crack in your room. If you are pulling more air out then you have air going INTO your room through every crack.. and then you can scrub the air with proper exhaust and carbon filter.

Other than that.. the plants are still getting the same air exchange- even with a passive intake (aka -a hole in your room somewhere) and that's what the important part is anyway.

if you don't have negative pressure you may as well not use a carbon filter since air is going to be leaking out thru any crack or vent in the room it can find. Negative pressure just means that all air is going thru the filter so no odor leaks.
