Is it just me or does this sound like its not actually the police just someone trying to figure out where you are during the day to steal your plants lol.
I don't know what the police are like in Cali other than what we see on tv but there is no need to be assholes to the police, and pranking the neighbor is the worst thing you could do. Do you retards not think they would already have her complaint on the system about you and not match the 2 together..
First thing I would do is call the station and just confirm it actually is an officer, and then just be respectful, show him your plants, hide anything you need to before he comes around. And I bet next time the neighbor calls them up they will tell her to go $#% herself for wasting their time and you won't need to.

I think smoking outside can be an issue. Luckily my neighbor is aware of my use and is okay with it. There were times I know they closed windows because of the smell and smoke drifting their direction. If I had different people next door, who knows where the complaints would lead. Growing probably not an issue, smoking maybe so.

Seems like she's complaining about the smoke, not your plants. According to the posted notice anyway. I know you aren't the only one who smokes in your vicinity. You should show your neighbor the garden. Invite HER in. Talk to her. Explain the benefits of the plant. Explain its just a plant. Show her your carbon filter, let her smell your home. Damn. Try to come to an understanding. Cops are always a bad idea. They make things much worse in most cases like this.

I talked to another neighbor down the hall.
He spoke to two plain clothes detectives who knocked on his door to ask about me.
He claims he clowned them by asking if they were seriously investigating this while heroin and coke are sold on the streets.
