Never had buds this big or dense! How to harvest proper??

I prefer to keep large colas intact during my wet trim. Keep them attached to the stems and hang them upside down for 10 days to 2 weeks before my second trim and jarring. Light rotating fan action and low to no light.

The stems help that slow dry by providing addition nutrients and moisture during the dry. The buds will "snap" off when drying is complete.

I've tried multiple trim processes, and I just prefer this one more.

Awesome!! You crammed some sisters in there! You doing hydro??? They look great!
Hydro, yes. It's a SuperPonics 12 XL (I bought a kit back in 2017) that holds 28 gallons of nutes for, as of a few grows ago, one plant. It takes some work to swap a res but I only do that every few weeks. That big res is extremely predictable and very stable. If anyone is considering hydro, this res has a lot of positives but I'd also take a look at the Current Culture Under Current Solo 13 Gallon.

I started growing autos but, since they're on their own timetable, I had little control over their size, per the first few pix. They kept growing into the roof area of my tent plus the long grow time (110-115 days) meant that I was giving them a lot of 45¢ per KwH electricity (Southern California) so I switched to photos this year.

The big, funky plant is one plant but the front "row" of branches wouldn't fit in the tent so I used either a Vipar XS-1500 (not the Pro) or a Mars SP 3000 to light it.

The plant that got bud rot is a photoperiod that was vegged under a veg light for 41 days and heavily LST'd. I shot myself in the foot on that one. With the extended veg time and the weather that was cool and moist, I was setting myself up for a fall. Lesson learned (the hard way).

No. I want to but from what i read.....its kinda not really gonna do much. I have another hlg light to hang and I'm consulting about trollmaster....id like to super control my grow. But, from what I've read, co2 would kinda be a waste in such a small area that isn't environmentally perfect
CO2 at 1200 PPM will give a 30% boost (in photosynthesis, IIRC) according to Bugbee (I quote him a lot, I admit, but he does "show his work".) and he states that it is the first enhancement a grower should make, even before turning up the PPFD. The problem for a small grower is that it requires a sealed environment for maximum benefit.

Shane from Migro is doing a YT video on CO2 vs non-CO2 and he's not in a sealed environment. It might be worth checking out.

When I harvest I like to pull the fan leaves(anything without trichomes) and hang individual branches. This allows a nice slow dry as long as you've got a good environment. I always check over the buds when I take the fan leaves off and make sure there are no obvious issues, and if I find anything I cut out the whole section above and below it. I''ve never had buds rot or mold during drying.

Usually 7-10 days later once the branches snap and the outside edges of the bud start to feel slightly crispy but the inside still has a slight sponginess I break down the buds and put them in a brown paper bag. They stay there for another 5-7 days and I shake them around at least once a day. When they start to feel done I'll sample them and see how it burns. If it needs a few more days in the bag it stays there until it burns right in a bowl. Then into jars or bags for long-term storage, I only open those when I'm getting weed out to smoke.
