Really though. HPS is pretty efficient @ 150 lm/w omnidirectionally. Plus packs a hella punch.
Sure, but its inefficient, creates voltage drop, and has a cost increase both ways because of this.
Also, with the layout of forward voltage and current needs in some of these LED arrays, we pick drivers based on efficient use of the voltage and current. I wish it was as simple as, "Just get a bigger driver."

They've made me a fair share of coin. But with efficiencies claimed as high as 2.73 micro moles per joule with LED's, YES REALLY Hybrid
