Sure, but its inefficient, creates voltage drop, and has a cost increase both ways because of this.Thicker gauge wire & less drivers.
Really though. HPS is pretty efficient @ 150 lm/w omnidirectionally. Plus packs a hella punch.
Also, with the layout of forward voltage and current needs in some of these LED arrays, we pick drivers based on efficient use of the voltage and current. I wish it was as simple as, "Just get a bigger driver."
They've made me a fair share of coin. But with efficiencies claimed as high as 2.73 micro moles per joule with LED's, YES REALLY Hybrid
