Neville’s Haze grow journal

Howdy folks! I’m not seeing much of anything on Neville’s Haze grows online, doesn’t seem like many people want to take on the challenge lol. But I did, so I figured I’d start a thread.

Here’s the basics:
Indoor grow. She was my winter project. Sprouted on December 10th 2018. Started in a 5 gal fabric pot using cheap Walmart soil. Vegged under a 1200 watt LED on 18/6. I decided to be insane and let this majestic beast veg for 9 weeks Lmao. Currently in week 10 of flower, but I’ll post pictures of the Veg period before I move on. The soil choice ended up being bad, soil was like an old dry sponge when it dried out every two or three days. Ended up putting her in a Lowrise Tupperware container so I could water from the bottom as well. Fed her 1/4 nutes twice a week in veg. I didn’t trim anything during veg until the last two weeks to expose as many nudes and branches as possible before flowering phase. You can’t see it because of the canopy, but I had the lower branches tied and pulled slightly to offset from the one above them for better exposure. Here are the pics of the veg cycle. The last picture is The day before I put her on 12/12. As advised, I put stakes in To prepare for late flower As it is said The branches will get very heavy and will need to be tied up for support. Entering into flower phase, she is 27 inches tall, and you can see how bushy she is, and how tieing the branches on offsets really paid off.

Nah man, not tough at all! I didn’t even top her lmao. I’m also mythbusting a bunch of theories out there with her lol. I don’t even track the pH, my well water is 5.5 that’s actually perfect for her lol. And in the middle of flowering, I transplanted her into a 15 gallon fabric pot with Miracle Gro soil and the buds started to explode a week later lmao. So much for don’t use miracle gro . I just don’t give her any nutes now, plenty of that in the soil now.

I’m entering week 11 of flower. I’ll post pictures of flowering soon thru week 10. You won’t believe this beast man, her buds doubled in weight in the past two weeks . It’s almost like a flower 2.0 Period.

Here are pictures in flower so far. I’m entering week 11 of flower. She doubled in height, you can see the stretch of every branch because they all had ample access to the lights.

She has grown wide, big, and hungry for water and light. To accommodate, I now have her under a 1200w and 1000w led from above, and a 600w led pointing horizontal to light up the lower buds. I rotate her 90° every day so each quarter gets good access to the side light, I also have reflectors on two other sides. I don’t anticipate growing her again anytime soon, so I want to squeeze out every drop of THC that I can on every bud site lmao! But that means showering her with a shit ton of light from all angles.

Between week 7 & 8, the bud growth slowed down to a crawl, and Some pistols started to orange. I figured maybe she’s a 12-week phenom. I also thought perhaps the shitty soil in the 5-gallon fabric pot ran its course, so I decided to transplant her to a 15-gallon pot using miracle Gro. After a week, the colas started to explode with brand new white pistols & new calyx’s all over last week (week 10). It’s almost like a second wave of bud production.

All of my colas have doubled in weight the past 10 days, and there is still new growth coming in around the other new growth lmao. If I harvested right now, I would have 4 ounces minimum. I expect that estimate to increase significantly watching these colas swell up!

I figure I have 6 weeks left. Thinking about putting yet another side light in there to really get those lower buds to swell up more.

Mid-week 12 of flower. I had to gingerly squeeze her out of the grow room so I could tie up the branches. Most of the colas are getting top-heavy with bud weight, starting to sway/lean over to the point of concern. New bud growth continues all over her, thickening the colas even more, and she’s not showing any signs of slowing down! See for yourself in the pictures!

This is the stuff of legends folks lmao.

Yeah she really does take a school year to grow bro, ha. I will end up harvesting two different auto-flower cycles before she’s done Lol! That’s the way you grow this bitch, you do a couple of auto-flowers while she’s vegging to get you some product to smoke while she’s flowering.
I got her as a freebie seed from Seedsman. Took me two years to grow a steel set and plant her lmao.

Hey folks! Mid week 14 of flower. I was going to update once a week but this Queen flowers very slowly, like watching paint dry. If I don’t take pictures I wouldn’t know she was growing Lmao. But she definitely is still very slowly producing new buds!
I am hitting her with three grow lights now, a 1600 W and a 1000 W from above, and a 1000W light from the side. The bud clusters closest to each branch/stem are very dense now, and you can see in the pics that the new growth is just spidering out in all directions from each cola.
Last week I cut a sample (about 1gram dry) to see where she’s at entering the weeks of ripening. Let me just say, I got the highest I’ve ever been from one bong hit lmao! It’s not even done yet and it’s already the most potent stuff ever! Very trippy and cerebral, uplifting energetic positive, motivating. Felt like being in a lucid dream in reality.
I was very tempted to harvest her this past weekend after week 13, because where she’s at right now is just incredible. But I’m following my gut, and my gut says she’s not quite done yet!
Minimum 16 weeks for true sativas, by the looks of her it could be 17 or 18 weeks, None of the trichomes are Amber yet, all cloudy, new growth clear. The pistols from wave1 (prior to week 9) are orange, new growth white. None are brown. The fan leaves that remain are showing no signs of dying off. And she is still drinking 2 gallons every two days. I believe this is where the patience To let her finish comes into play lol.

Mid Week 15 flower. The sample I took last week was incredible. Really like where she’s at right now. The bud growth has started to slow down. I’ve looked closer at the trichomes, there are a few amber ones, but mostly cloudy heads with some clear ones. Orange pistols starting to brown, and newer pistols still white.
I am considering a partial harvest this weekend. The bud growth rate won’t yield much more in the next few weeks, so at this point it’s how ripe do I want the potency. And right now, I think she’s perfect. uplift, energy, anxiety, euphoria & lucid state are all at prime levels off of one bong hit lol!
I figure I’ll harvest in 3 weekends, let the lower ones ripen a tad more. Here are pics of trichomes.

beautiful. i raised a choc thai (Thaitantic) once, 17' of plant. point is it flowered outside from late summer all fall and into late January. i bet that plant has weeks in it. Anyhow. Just so cool you grew that out, nice nice job. Old Timers Haze is one on the list for me, watcha thinking about growing next? did you clone?
