new 2 rubbermaid. help...

i am used 2 growin in a closet ,ive had 2 switch 2 totes stacked.plants grow 2 about 3" tall and stunt.i am using 124 actual watts 6 bulbs.6500k.using windshield reflector covering entire inside.6 in.fan exhaust fan and passive intake holes.any help im stumped ill get pics up ina lil bit.

what are the temps running? heard thats the hardest thing with them rubbermaid grows

monko, thx 4 the reply.the temps are in the low 70s. the fan is strong as hell,you think they might be gettin 2 cold?im changing from 24hrs. light to 18-6.i think that might help.after my last post i hit em with some spray and they liked it.this time around im going with one of my fav. crosses ive grew,the LA Confidential x Skunk#1,as well as Kandy Kush x sk1,and a nice bagseed from some dank i got from a grower buddy of mine.he says its Papaya but im not positive definitely couchlock though.dammit i cant get my damn computer read my camera.ill post pics in the mornin.the KK X is real light green..like not in a good way, she looks pale.

I can't imagine what could be causing that. I veg in rubbermaid and have never run into that problem. I washed the hell out of mine before using because I hear they use formaldahyde in the manufacture process, but I don't know if it matters or not since I have never tried one unwashed. I have actually found that they veg a little better in there, but I attribute that to the MASSIVE amount of air exchange I have going (full exchange about 12 times per minute) and the stability of my temps(NEVER outside the 72-74 degree range). I'd like to see what the other responses are. I'm designing a completely portable grow op using rubbermaid for the whole process. I'll definitely keep a tab on this thread. I'll help the best I can(I'm not real experienced yet, but LOVE to tinker). Good luck!

Rubbermaid grower here as well. How close are the lights? I'd recommend changing from 24/0 to 18/6. That's about it. I got one plant in a rubbermaid with 2 120mm pc fans pulling air out through carbon filters on each. Only got a passive intake on the bottom of the box opposite the fans. Temps never above 75.

the kandy kush then theres the bagseed .i noticed the bagseed got a lil burn on it,probably from misting.heres a shot of my last LA CHEESE .im gonna try to keep up on here so hopefully this shit will start getting interesting.

Pretty sure your girls need more aqua...lights are to high get them as close as you can. lookin good though. I usually run my mid 70's maybe 80's w/60% humidity... they really like it.....

thx uahn.i water when soil is dry 1"deep (every 3-4 days).i sure hope they do.theyre already almost 3 wks old.im gonna get a humidity guage tomorrow as well as a ph meter.turned on lights and added 2 more 23watt 2700k bulbs.my LA CHEESE IS STRUGGLIN TO GET OUT OF ITS SHELL i think im gonna get a toothpick and help it out.will have new pics tomorrow.

I think that's your only problem. You made it seem a lot worse than it is! The plants are lookin just fine, pretty good actually. I think the problem lies in over watering. You said you're watering every 3-4 days when its dry 1" deep. You should only have to water once a week this early. The soil should be dry 3-4" deep. If you don't water enough, the leaves will droop and shell look thirsty. But if you over water, shell also look thirsty, but she's actually drowning. This is good but only if you let if dry down to 3-4" deep after you drown her a bit. Personally, I don't drown her, I just wait til the soil is dry almost a full finger deep. You shouldn't have any moisture on the leaves at this point and dry soil all the way down your finger.

dammit.i looked at my plants this mornin and they are droopy as hell.i hadnt read the last postslast night i watered them.the lights are out now so ill put up some pics after 3.i hope i didnt drown em.my LA Cheese aint lookin too hot.i think its getting too cld cuz my house stays chilly probably bout 65 degreeswhen nobody's home.

Yeah man, don't water for awhile. Wait for them to perk up. After they perk up and the leaves are strong and looking upwards. After they are perky, they should begin drooping after a few days. If the dirt is dry 4" down and/or they're drooping, then and only then should you water.

i checked on em alil while ago...the L.A.CHEESE DIED it never came out of its shell and the root stopped growin.i gave it a proper burial .the KK X SK 1 looks alot better,baGSEED PLANT STILL A LIL DROOPY.IM GONNA LET EM GET GOOD AND DRy B4 I WATER AGAIN.i started a seed from a bag of purple bud i got over the summer.i was gonna wait to put them out this spring but i still got like 5 more .hopefully it actually hatches ,i never had that happen b4

last night i moved the plants a lil closer to the lights .the plants loved it ,but the KK actually grew about 3/4 inch end was touchin a bulb this morning.its ok its perked up alot.purp seed hasnt popped yet,its in a 32 oz. icee cup in MG potting mix on top of my tower.bagseed still droopy.hopefully a lil nap in the dark will liven her up.well i got some fruity tastin nugs from my dude yesterday.tastes like a AURORA INDICA i grew a few yrs. back.my wife is goin thru it quick,girls love that fruity shit.got me a few more strains im bout to germ.im thinkin about DINAFEM'S HAZE AUTOMATIC and Hashberry by Mandala.the hashberry is real good smoke harsh but very potent.i wish MANDALA sold fem. seeds,the got some killer strains.

sorry for your loss.

I went through something like what your girls are doing.... the leaves turn a lighter green almost a faint yellow hew.... and stopped growing. if you search in the forum, it talks about "underwatering early vegetation and low nutes".

when you grow in a box with a lot of circulation, you dry out the area. In turn smaller plants lose a lot of moisture. Next time you repot, check the root levels. Long roots means she's digging to find more water.... But then again, i'm just one man trying to grow some pot... everyone experiences different things, so many girls so little time....when in doubt, just relax, let her do her thing... she's a weed, she know better. keep it up!
