New advice 50 days into flower

Hey everyone,

I switched my plant to 12/12 lighting 50 days ago. It is Royal Queen Special Kush #1. I was hoping to get some advice on what to expect from here on out..

I'm 50 days in and I am leaving for a week in 17 days.. I think its probable she wont be ready to harvest beforehand. From the pictures, can anyone tell if she is behind/ahead of schedule? Do you think I will need longer than 17 more days? I know its impossible to pinpoint an exact date, but if anyone has experience estimating flowering time it would help me find a trusting babysitter. Royal Queen says the flowering time for the seeds are 7-8 weeks. Im thinking longer?

In addition, the tips of all the fan leaves are yellowed.. No fan leaves have died, just the tips are yellow. Any ideas?

Also, is it normal for a flowering plant to need much more water? I found it needs water every 4 or 5 days. In vegetative growth, it only needed water every 8-9 days.

Thanks again for any input you guys can provide. Overall, I think she looks pretty good.. Hopefully she will be done in time.

What's your light source?

Those are no where near ready imo. Make sure you get a very trusting sitter if you cannot tend to your girls... This is a very crucial point in their life cycle... Could be the difference in good harvest or a bust

6 CFLS.. 2650 lumens each/40 watt/ 2700 K

They just look really skinny for 50 days however they will fatten up the last few weeks

How far away are the lights from the canopy?

well the tallest stems are only about 6 inches away

I have a bubblegum kush at 50 days as of yesterday. It has been a 65-70 day plant. Mine seem a bit further along than yours. I would say those will not be ready at 67 days. But it will be what it will be. How long are you gone for? The slight yellowing is nothing to worry about. As for the watering it depends....I never go a week without watering twice.

Never go by said breeder times... It's simply a selling point for them. I know people that have grown out "7-8 week" strains and they took 9-11 as well as people who have grown "11-12 week" and they really took 13-15 weeks... It depends on your environment, care, stress and genetics

Use what the seller says as a guideline for that strain. Yours is not ready yet but you have many buds showing on that plant, let them fatten up properly and you will have a nice yield.

dude dont be afraid to get those light as close as 2 inches from the plant those are very low in lumens. any cfls need to be very close to the plant. they look like there getting very minimal light. try to buy more light before you go away for the week. but like they said try to get a friend or family to watch them. very crucial stage for the plant
