New air cooled 1000 watt 4x4 tent grow push or pull and different questions

Hello I just orderd a 4x4 by 7.5 foot tent.I have a huge air cooled hydro farm reflector ,I'm using a harvest pro elite ballast, My first question is do I push or pull the air through the reflector...I've done research and everones answer is different . I have always filter> ducting > light>duct> fan >Duct > outside....this is in a bigger room .....but everywhere on the web everone goes filterfan>duct>light>duct outside...I will have a 4in fan for the intake ...and I'm using a 6 in for the exhaust .oh my hood has 2 sides for ducting one side tube is long the other is short ...the short side is where the light screws in ...which side should I pull or push air through over the light or from behind it ...sorry about any typing on iPhone any 1000 watt tent advice is neeeded...can I keep the intake fan outside ...but keep the 6 in the tent ...oh will pantyhose work for a intake bug shield thanks

Anyway, Pushing or pulling is entirely up to you!.. whatever works best.

I PULL but alot of people push. If you are pulling through the reflector then make sure your fan is not sitting at the end of the reflector within close proximity of the lamp and all the heat as this will grately diminish your fans life expectancy.

I pull through mine like this

COLD AIR INTAKE --- DUCT ---- REFLECTOR ---- DUCT ---- FAN ---- DUCT

then i also have a 2nd fan for exhaust and filter like this

FILTER --- DUCT --- FAN ---- DUCT

This is the best way to have full control of your temps. THis way the lighting rig fan only runs when your lights are on.


As for your setup you could go

FILTER --- DUCT ---- SHORT SIDE OF REFLECTOR --- DUCT ---- FAN ---- DUCT

Or you could


FILTER ---- FAN ---- DUCT ---- SHORT SIDE OF REFLECTOR ---- DUCT ---- OUT

Dude thanks...I will probaly pull since it's what I'm doing now:..I have enough fans to run a setup like yours..::but do these tents get that hot even with a 4in intake going 247
